That's awesome. I was really curious as to how the wick looked underneath the plate, but didn't want to accidentally destroy one of my atties. Have you noticed any improvements in taste, vapor, or overall performance? Have you replaced any wicks or know where you could buy some wicking material?

Yesterday, I accidentally dropped my eGo T on a tile floor and the little insert that goes on top of the tank popped off. It helped everything work much better. My juices have more flavor and it's a lot easier to vape on. Also, I ripped the little hanging "chad" off of the inside of 2 of my tanks and that helped out performance. I'm loving this thing even more now. I feel so much better health wise after not smoking for about ten days.

Well, I liked the fact I could see the coil, and make sure it was clean before I put it back together. The taste improved a bit, very close to where it was the first day I had it. Getting the gunk off the coil and wick was the important part.

I haven't tried replacing the wick, as mine is still in good shape. I'd imagine you could use any of the wick material people have talked about on ECF, but I'm not sure.

I haven't removed any of the chads, but a few have removed themselves over time. I have experimented with taking out the top of the tip, but I personally didn't notice any difference in taste or vapor, but that could just be my juice.

I just used my Leatherman pliers and pushed against the spike tube with the other end of the pliers on the outside of the atomizer. Work side to side once, and pow! It's out. If you don't have dentla picks, but have a set of needle-nose pliers, you can do it this way easy. Remember to protect the outside of the atomizer with a cloth or something to prevent scratches.

I've seen Vicky's video on how to adjust the wick. But what specific tool is best for repositioning it once you have it out of the atomizer. Should you push it up from the bottom. Maybe with a toothpick in the center? I just heard these wicks are very delicate and if you look at them funny you can mess them up so I just want to be careful so when the time comes to tinker with them I'll know exactly what to do.

The picks may be too thin to be strong enough, what you're really looking for is a Dental Chisel. They are thicker steel.
Yep, the tool I tried was a bit too wide still and when I did manage to get it in there it bent it straight and out when I pulled....gonna check Monday with our art teacher at school, I see they are used for art/clay scoring too when I did a search. Maybe she has one I can borrow.

OK woohoo! Got the darn thing out finally, a friend pulled it out with his needle nose pliers, I had almost given up, and had just thrown it in the trash actually...plate and spike came out without the wick and hat...got it out and fluffed and soaked it in some IPA...there was no wick sticking up above the hat so I pulled it up a bit with tweezers...put it back in the spike from the bottom...got it in now, time to test it out, going to still be wet from the soak, so update later.....fingers crossed...

You do know that you can bite the tip just chomp down with ur 2 front teeth and that pops right off....the draw is great and better throat hit also....posssibly getting better air flow?
