Since this thread is quite worthless without lots of pics, I made some.

I got really frustrated while trying to make this work. The wick kept on falling apart while trying to get it through the needle plate. So I opted for just using one side of the ptb.

Closed it up, by applying some heat from a lighter to the side sticking out.

Got a bit too enthusiast with the fire as you can see. Fire and melthing stuff, can't really help myself.

And closed up the ptb end as well, with my lighter, pushed it together with my fingers after heating it.

I pushed this through the needle plate until it got stuck. And finished with all the remaining steps, to be able to vape once again.
Excellent pictures and how to, Thanks good info. I just took apart my first eGo-c atty and it was very easy compared to the T-atty. Dry burned the coil and it looks like new, I just rinsed the wick and needle plate in hot water and let dry, then put the plate back in the coil housing, it so much easier than the T-atty. Every thing looks new, but I will wait until my second C-atty needs work and then I will try the one I cleaned and will write more when I do that, about how it works.

Since I have the same problem this is what I have found:
- For wick (silica rope) you can disassemble a CE2 XL clearomizer or you can order some from various vendors.
- Instead of the Lipton Tea Bag you can use an inox mesh from a broken atty or you can order one from some vendors.
- And most important, here are some pictures:
Atomizor "a la" scientist : atomizoare - 27
The language is Romanian, but the pictures speak for themselves.

I hope this proves to be useful.

Good info and pictures, Thanks. I just wondered if anyone ever tried a cigarette lighter wick, would that work for a wick??? Don't know if you can even buy them anymore, i'm and old timer and remember them well.

No, I don't think it safe. Use only recommended materials ('silica rope' for the wick and 'inox mesh' (stainless steel mesh) for the Lipton Tea Bag tip). If the wick is not silica rope but some other fiber in can get into your lungs and cause complications. Better to avoid this.

Thanks Kent, I will not use the cigarette lighter wick and after looking at the site you posted I will give the ce2/clearomizer wicks a try when I need a new wick.

That's what I've done. I had some CE2 XL's that were poor performers - grabbed their wicks - there was too much length of the XL chamber and it didn't wick well. The standard size did well for me but like the tanks better.

inox mesh= stainless steel mesh. Sorry for my English :) You can either buy it new or if you disassemble a dead Ego-T atomizer, there's plenty of stainless steel mesh around the ceramic piece.
I have some Ego-t's that are dead so when I get time I will take it apart. Thanks for the reply.

Hi Steve,

I do not have the original steel mesh, I bought something similar but you can get original steel mesh from a dead Ego-T atty, as there is steel mesh around the ceramic piece. If the tea bag works that's fine, the only point is that it is better to stick to the original materials used. The problem is that using a different fiber material can be dangerous for your health. For example a small piece of glass fiber can get to your lungs. That is why I do believe steel mesh and silica rope should be the only materials used. It's just for safety. Here you can see more pictures with how this is done:

Tutoriale : Incepatori

In these pictures it is not the original steel mesh.

Best Regards,
Codrut
