As a newbie who got sucked into the Blu, then bought a 510 PT, but didn't know I shouldn't drip through it and broke it within 24hours, now I have 2 eGo batts and the Tank system. I was hoping in my Little Kitty Heart that the taste would be 'just like dripping' and wow, won't this be the cat's pajamas...but I'm getting a real plastic taste that I don't like. :( For convienice, I'm in love with the Tank, but that taste....?? I've taken the tips off, and it does help a little with the flavor...the tanks start leaking after a while thru the cap, so I'm filling thru the tip...I think the constant popping it off and on has made them loose?

I am considering a juice box OR a VapeMate Super T to see if I can reclaim my awesome flavor that I love. One thing I know for sure, however, is any plastic taste IS better than burnt filler taste from carts! I so appreciate the long-slow hits advice, and yep, when you're in transition, you suck away to get your fix. THAT helped me not get the atty so hot.

Through purchasing the Tank system, I have learned that just because the technology is new, doesn't make it the best, do NOT offer advice about a product the same day you get it (LOL) as most things work like a champ out of the box, but once they start getting used...well...things can go downhill fast.

I am going to give the Tank a full month, and then come payday I will order the Super T. Might as well, since I can already see this is my new 'hobby' and I love new toys. BTW, I have yet to 'meet' anyone on this forum who isn't helpful, nice, and encouraging. To steal Honda's old tag line "You meet the nicest people vaping!"

The T system is not a plug and play system as I posted previously and hence why I was reluctant in promoting it as a no fuss system to new vapers. The delta between performing great and no performance is extremely shallow IMO. Understanding the role of all the internal components of an atomizer is important and most often overlooked.

I'm not sure that there is yet a truly no-fuss system - other than dripping, which isn't ideal for a lot of people. (I wear reading glasses, so dripping is a PITA. Find glasses, put on glasses, drip, take off glasses, take a few drags, repeat. And we won't talk about driving. LOL) With all the mini-cig/eGo models (as these are what newbies will likely start with) there is the necessity of modding carts and/or filler to get the best performance - which then can lead to lots of trial and error on its own.

This is an industry still in its infancy in many ways, however. Product evolution is rapid. Eventually we will get there. For what it is, the eGo-T is revolutionary. It's already gone through 2 revisions, and I'm sure more are on the way. The problem is that R&D isn't as extensive as in other industries, as consumers demand a quick turnaround to market.

I find the diminished taste of the juice outweighs the convenience of the tank.. I like the tank system, but find I'm back to using cartos again because the taste is just not there!

Have you tried the LR tank attys? They make a big difference to me:):vapor:

Did I receive legit parts or no?

Both shipments came in today, NFN's and Vapors Kitchen.

NFN's Tank carts came individually wrapped, have hard plastic bottom caps.

VK's Tank carts have a rubber cap, and the atty has a smaller needle that the Tank carts from NFN WON'T fit into as there's a rubber type ring around the outside wall at the bottom needle plate. And VK's Tank cart was not packaged at all.

Is it possible I have two revisions of this system. Or did VK ship me cheap knock-offs?

Can you post pics? When you talk about the caps, are you speaking of the cap on the bottom of the cart where the chad is (that you would pop off to fill the tank)? The only rubber I have is the cap that fits over the tank after filling so no liquid spills out...

It's a junk order he received, I took pics and sent them to him, he concurred and is sending me out two new atty's to make up for the issue.

When he saw the silicone seal on the inside, and the rubber end cap to the cart, he knew something was very wrong.

    Pics below,

    Both orders side by side...

Might be hard to see as the pics aren't full size when setting them as attachments.

Ummm... WTF is that? Did you try vaping with the VK version? If it is at all a revision, it's not the 1st or 2nd, and one that I haven't seen before.

What I'm wondering is HOW and WHY this got shipped to you at all? Does VK not even do a quality check on what they are shipping out?

You can't vape on it at all. The silicone ring efficiently blocks the airways of both the atty and the cart. It's a brick lol...

He opened a bunch of others to check and said none of them look like that one... Both the cart and the atty are not legit.

FYI, the atty and tanks from NFN work well, and although I'm sick and avoiding big drags (so I don't cough), I'm pleasantly surprised. The liquids I was dripping do seem to have more body through the tank, but I was also sure to blow out the primer before hand. Mind you, the atty stole half a tank of liquid when I first plugged it in lol.

I followed the advice on this post and pre-punctured my cart before filling it. It's handy to have a blunt needle syringe.

I just got 2 atty's from nfn and he sent me 2 black tip tank carts free. looks cool on there. they were tough as hell to get in snapped tight... lot tougher than the clear or blue ones...now I have to rely on taste to know when it's empty or listen for the crackle hehe...

my test now is to keep a juice with an atty and see what eack takes for how often each needs to blow out. as much as I love this kahlua, I can believe the dark stuff is gumming up the atty faster.

Very odd indeed! I have never seen that design before and if none of his other tanks look like that then it becomes truly confusing.

What I'm wondering is how these got shipped to you at all? If they weren't packaged, you'd think he would have noticed them before shipping... or is this just REALLY shoddy QC?

Also wondering if this is maybe the start (albeit not yet working) of another new revision for the T atty and cart.... I don't see how it would be possible for that to be a manufacturing defect as silicone has never been used before.
