the juice falls right through the ones that don't work. It's getting in everywhere BUT the coil area, thats the weirdness.
I took one of them apart....the filler was loaded with juice.

If it was too thick it wouldn't pass right through would it?

The juice I've mentioned is used by other gogo users with no problems.

Have you tried pushing the filler down with a soda straw.

I know of one user getting over 4 months on a go-go carto using madvapes bavarin fudge creme.

I think I finally got a "good one"

This pre-filled gocart I started using friday evening. Been using it all weekend long. Just topped it off for the 3rd time and it's still working well.....never had one go this long before.

I wonder if maybe the "bad" ones I've had maybe the filler wasn't quite packed in to specification.

just to be clear, coil performance was never an issue as I would get good vapor but weak flavor and a nasty taste akin to dry vaping.

It was always a matter of proper coil wicking. Somehow the juice was "going around" the sweet spot of the coil so to speak. everywhere but where it should have been. This gocart I'm on has worked perfectly for 4 days now.

none of my juices are very thick, I know what thick juice is like and I don't care for them much flavor wise and especially since they limit effective coil life. I prefer my coil performance to last indefinitely like anyone else would.

well, well, well...

Last night I took 3 of the problem carts, used a straightened paperclip, inserted on the sides about 3/4 of the way down
and gently tucked down the filler all around the perimeter.

Sweet, full vapor at last.

It would seem the filler in the gocarts (at least the ones i have) contract a bit after 1-2 refills.
I noticed the top of the filler was not level with the straw on all of these as they were when new.

If they were contracting to the center of the filler, then what went down on top surely went up
on the bottom, thus losing contact with the coil and creating the problem.

I believe the problem is solved. If anyone else is having that problem, you know what to do.

Here endith my gocartomizer lesson...

Please educate me! What is the moral of the story ? Keep the filler touching the base ? Or keep trying to fluff it out to the sides. I have the impession that your saying the liquid trickles down the inside of the center tube, and that the filler needs to be touching the base so it wicks up the filled and back down the inner side of the tube to feed the coil ?

What I have found is to Keep the filler touching the base.

LOL... I used the same carto for 5 days (refilling and topping off daily) and finally hit the point where I was still getting flavor but vapor production was wayyyyy down. That was a PERFECT carto... I could vape that puppy dry and refill it without any problems. So,

Filled up a new carto this morning and Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I still have not tried to rebuild a go-cart yet.... but I am headed into town tommorrow and might just have to stop at McDonalds for lunch and snag some straws... :) (hopefully they have the right coffee stir straws)

So, got my go-go 10 days ago... One cart had dry spots and I put it aside, one cart used for 5 days, second cart used 5 days, third and fourth carts still going with alternate flavors, and just opened fifth cart. Not too bad for the learning curve!!

The inner tube provides the air. However, the felt-like filler cloth around it wicks the juice from the filler to the coil, so that needs to be in contact. If the filler assembly is sitting slightly above the coil vapor production will suffer, so pushing the filler down a bit solves that.

That's the ticket! The filler shrinks a little after refilling a few times and lifts away from the coil surface.

I don't ever remember seeing this "fix" before in any of the threads....thats why I was so confused about my problem. Well that and I never used cartomizers before.

If any of you want a tighter draw, just push it down from the top, instead of probing down most of the way as I did. that will definitely make the draw harder.

Yeah these things last a while. :) I am still using some of the first run cartos that have been rebuilt, some twice now. I have plenty of the old style (with black wrap versus new style with black powder coat) so even though I have 15 or so of the powder coats, it may be a while before I get to them.

Which I think in this case is a good thing! :)

It's cheaper than Starbuck's, waaaaaay cheaper than cigarettes, and I've always said if anyone gives me any grief about my habit that doesn't hurt me or anyone around me that costs about a dollar a day ... I'm not sure ... but I think I can legally shoot them.

... priceless...

Ive been using the new cartos for a while a friend is also using them and after a day flavor drops off and vapor production seems to go right down. I tried pushing the filler down and stopped the burnt taste so maybe that is the key. Fill then second fill push the wick down and fill again or fill again then foce the wick down.

I got these guys in because they were supposed to be the bomb and have very little issues. How did this happen so quickly all of a sudden has something changed.
