The Go-Go just got smarter!

Just caught this over at CigEasy:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/cigeasy/180221-go-go-just-got-smarter.html

" The Go-go just got Smarter!

3 quick clicks of the button turns off the Newest Go-go's. 3 more clicks turns it back on and you are good to GO!
No more worries it might activate in your pocket or purse!

It seems the Go-go button was designed from the beginning to be more than just a give me power switch and communicates directly with the on-board computer chip and explains why the Go-go needs the occasional REBOOT.

If your Go-go gets out of sink and you get occasional misfires just run it down till you get the multiple flash signal that it's time to recharge. The chip Reboots when charging and you are good to Go.

The on and off option was not expected to be ready in this release and it was a pleasant surprise that I discovered while testing the batteries before shipment. The instruction sheet had not been updated yet but all the Go-go's that went out this weekend are the Smarter Go-go's!

SSV2's detailed review of the Go-go should be coming out very soon but every time he thinks its ready more info or questions arise!

Happy vaping!
Frank "

Just giving the gogo nation my weekly report. Cleaned out ten gocarts using the method described in the guide. Picked two at random for current use. One I know was on it's second cleaning and one other. They both filled up full and work very well with no loss of flavor or vapor that I can tell. I did notice that the one that had been cleaned twice, took slightly less juice as the other one. I think that multiple cleanings may compress the filler slightly but the jury is out on that conclusion. when I first got the gogo I kinda went nuts trying different juices and had a lot of carts, half full of juice i didn't care for. They all seem to have washed out clean. I've found that not using the kitchen hose sprayer at full blast works better at cleaning old juice than higher water pressure. Higher water pressure tends to compress the filler. I suck on the battery ends of the carto to see it there is any taste of old flavor. If there is, I continue the process. Now I'm down to two cartos on two gogos and I've been sticking to the same juice and topping them off every other day. I want to see what the life of these are just using them as they were intended. I do all my tasting and back up flavors in a riva 510.

I want to remove the filler from one of the cartos and cut some away as Les has suggested and see if that vapes 100% sweet VG better. I'm also going to do an off the wall experiment with one carto today where I shave the battery end of a carto just slightly to see if that narrows the air holes and provides a better draw. The trick is to shave it even across the face so it screws back on and gives an even fit. I'll put the file in the vice and shave with the carto rather then the carto in the vice and shave with the file. I'll give an update on this when I've finished trying it out.

Rotating 4 Nhaler batts and every one has worked flawlessly with no button or charging problems. Every carto I started with is still working. That's my report, guys and gals. Have a great week.

Nice report. Thank you.

I believe cleaning the carts does compress the filler. I also believe tap water could decrease filler performance if the tap water has any impurities in it .

I normally drink bottled water but it might be time for me to get a filter system for the tap water.

Any thoughts on this?

First post other then the 5 I had to put up in the new members section....
I have been vaping since wifey's birthday (Feb 16th). I started on ego tanks. That was ok but I had a lot of problems with cleaning the atties and the burnt taste. I lurked on this forum a lot and got really interested in the go-go and I have been using it for about a week. Had to file down the charger and ever since I have been a happy go-go user. I am having trouble with cartos working after cleaning... very poor vapor and not much flavor, has anyone came up with the best way to clean these things? Thanks!

poor vapor sure sounds like the filler is not as dry as you'd like. There are several ways to accelerate the drying...spinning, blowing, baking, etc.

Personally I have found it easier, quicker and more efficient to go ahead and remove the filler. In this way you can rinse the coil very well and get everything virtually bone dry in moments. The only issue is that you need to fiddle a bit to get the filler back in around the center air tube. But even that is pretty easy once you master wrapping the dry filler around something that is the same size/slightly larger than the air tube, mating them up and sliding the filler down...using a twist with a little paper clip poking and prodding near the end. Just go down until the filler and the tube are again back at the same height.

I know that many would likely not want to bother with this way, but it's an alternative and works very well. Even gives you a chance to dry burn the coil, both for cleaning those extra gunky juices as well as accelerated drying.

I hear ya ChrisMan - my first one was a disaster as well. But then I stepped back and realized...you can get better with practice, but until then these are almost bullet proof. My first I just shoved the filler back in and it worked fine. Looked like hell, but worked.

Until then, use very hot water to rinse. Blow thru both ends..a LOT. Maybe use a turkey baster as a bellows of sorts. There is also what's called the "Taryn Spin" which basically spins the carto from the end of a string which uses centrifugal force to drive out something like 99.99% of the water. I've never used it but a video is HERE. I don't know how much of this is required, but it's to give you an idea. Also, you can do this with multiple cartos at once, as long as you have secured them properly.

At the end you can opt to bake the spun/blown cartos in the oven at 250-300 for an hour.

This is not an end-all on carto cleaning, but hopefully this helps.

Sorry I didn't view the whole video before posting. It's long and also shows how to force new juice down into a carto by turning the carto the other way, which is really not needed on the GoGo cartos.

I would like to congratulate you for quiting smoking after 20 years and for choosing a great PV to start your vaping experience. Welcome to the Go-Go Nation! I don't clean mine very often in fact I've only cleaned one since I got my Go-Go and it lasted for 20 refills before I started getting low vapor and needed cleaning. It didn't work real good afterwards either but I haven't tried removing the filler and cleaning it that way yet. I figure 10 days and 20 refills I'm getting my 3,00 worth. I think the type of juice you use may require cleaning more often than others.

Thanks Tx.... I really loved smoking, I tried to quit so many times and always failed, I think this vaping thing may do it though, I'm really enjoying it (almost too much). I am using good prophets 100% vg and it just tastes great! I'm sure some pg might make things flow smoother but at 3 bucks a piece I think I'll risk it. It seems to be producing great vapor especially with the low res carts I got today... We'll see how it goes, Thanks!

If you have one that you can't get the filler back in you can still use it to test different juices by just dripping 3or 4 drops in it.
I've never used 100% VG but I know you will probably have to clean more often. I use 80 pg 20 vg and it doesn't gunk up the coil and wicks real well but we are all different and whatever you like and works for you is what is important. Keep us posted on your experience because we all learn from one another.

ChrisMan congrats on your new journey! A lot of us have done what you are starting to do. I wish you all the luck. Every now and then I'll accept an analog offer and within just a few drags realize that I don't like that flavor anymore. Wow! ecigs taste much better than analogs!!!!

Today I received my adapters for the Go-go from Cig Easy. See the picture below. With Adapter 1 I can use my KR808D-1s to test new juices. With Adapter 2 I can put my Go-carts on my passthrough and save my Go-batts!
