Yes, but those are atomizers. Most cartos have their coil vertical in the center of the fill.

Not really. :)

The horizontal-coil cartomizers have been around for a long time, some are good, some are bad--SLB 510 cartos, most 4081 cartos, some Kanger kr808 cartos, all eGo and genuine Joye cartos, and the Bloog and its clones all have a horizontal coil. The design itself doesn't make them any better or worse than the other--vertical--kind. As a matter of fact, the most consistent and reliable cartomizer I've ever tried is a good old Bogetech 510 with a vertical coil.

This is true. But you can't take one apart and dry burn it like an atty, then clean the filler and reuse. Yes, I know they are disposable. :)

My, self-imposed, limit is 5-7 ml of eliquid; after that, the draw stiffens and the taste changes. YMMV.

That's why I never wanted cartomizers, even without trying them. seems like a waste. 510 atomizers lasted at least a month or more.

Speaking of cartomizers, I have taken one of my non-functioning gocarts, pulled out the filler, replaced it with blue fluval filler (with the center straw still intact) and it's vaping like a new cartomizer again.

It only holds about 30 drops.....but it is wicking.

Are you talking about Go-cartos? I only set aside one to clean in three months and I vape 4-5 mils a day. I rotated between four cartos during that time. I think it matters a lot about what juice you use more than anything. I vape mostly menthol 80-20 and never have to have to clean mine. I would be disappointed if I got less than 50 ml before needing cleaning.

No, I'm talking about the traditional, 1 ml cartomizers. I do not like the XL, mega, jumbo cartomizers of any kind because I like my cartos fresh and my ejuice fresh. No matter how good a carto is, the crud builds up on the atomizer coil, the polyfill becomes dirty, and the draw tightens. I also like to change flavors and I don't like the idea of 3 ml of juice being constantly heated and circulated through a giant wad of polyfill full of unvaporized ejuice particles like sweeteners, artificial colorings, artificial flavorings etc.

When I want capacity, I prefer the eGo-T atties.

Just my experience, YMMV.

Katya is that a warbler?
I am a novice birdwatcher on Li and I saw one today. They are rare here on the eaast coast.

Nope, it is an American Goldfinch also known as a Wild Canary. He hangs out in my backyard. We also have dozens of humming birds...:) We just discoverd another humming bird nest with two eggs in it. The second one this spring. We can't wait for the babies to hatch.

Here's a pair that hatched earlier this spring...

ok so I'm on my second set of pre-filled go carts.

This first one has a full days use, was topped off and has a burnt taste already.

If i top it off, the liquid just goes right through it.

It's acting like it's full and yet it's vaping like it's empty. The previous pre-filled set lasted 2-3 days and could be successfully filled once or twice and used with good vapor before having a problem.

I should get my first set of empty gocarts any day now.

If they do the same, I'm pulling out of GoGo nation.
That would be a bummer, because the GoGo works so well when it does work.

I will also note, I get mis-fires on a regular basis (button pressed and lit but atty not firing)
I understand I can turn the button counter-clockwise and or recharge, but it shouldn't
really be doing this at all.

Personally, 1 fill and 4 top offs then I replace the cartos or clean it. I am not good at cleaning, so.. Based on this, I would go through 1 go-Cart a week but I haven't found my favorite daily vape, so I am alternating and have 4 cartos full of juice at a time, so I am currently going through 4 a week :p.

I realize I'm new to cartomizers but that seems so wasteful.

If that ends up being the case when I get the empty gocarts, I'm going back to the non-cartomizer way of vaping.

A month would suffice, but a week is unacceptable in my world.

These cartomizers SHOULD be lasting at least a month.

I respect your opinion but my own view is that I get at least 2 weeks with a gogo carto - that's if I don't clean it. If I use a very heavy sugar juice (I don't as a rule), it will last less. Worst case - when I was spending 5 bucks a day for smokes, 3 bucks a week for a great vape is not bad for me. Most other cartos will not last as long as the gogo ones. Given that most of my cartos last at least 2 weeks, that's 1.50 a week for me - not bad! I have one carto that I vape unflavored in - has lasted me close to two months without cleaning.

I do think there was a batch of less then optimum quality gogo carts that got into the mix but time will tell.

I am probably the exception. I flood the cartos constantly, let the juice flow out the bottom. I probably shouldn't have posted. I gross myself out thinking of how long the juice has been in the cartos. Part of me thinks letting juice sit in a cartos for a week is more on the gross side. especially if it's constantly saturated. Plus I need to see an optometrist , I keep misreading my labels and top off the cartos with the wrong flavors. By the end of the week I have confused myself so much, all 4 cartos taste the same. Plus I top off my cartos regardless of flavor every other day with some DIY RY4.
