Heyo. So my quest for the perfect on-the-go setup led me to get an iTaste VV V3 and Evods this week. (I know most people start with Evods nowadays, but I was always a stubborn caveman using cartos.) Anyway, the verdict? I LOVE them. I just wish these things existed back in 2010. :p

But now that I've used the iTaste for a bit I realize the battery may not get me through the day, so I was originally going to buy a second one to carry around. However, I've ultimately decided to get a couple of iconic Ego Twists. ;) I'd rather bash around Egos than carry $80 in batteries with me; the iTaste would be one of my at-the-computer jams.

So my only remaining question is... are 2 650 mah Twist batts enough for you when you leave the house? I know the 900 mahs are only a little longer, but I really like the smaller size for my front pocket, so I'd rather do that than go bigger than the iTaste. BUT with that said, I'd really like to hear if you guys have ever had 2 charged 650 mah Twists die on you while out and about. Please let me know!

(Note: I know everyone vapes at diferent paces and voltages... I'm just curious about personal experiences.)

Good choice on the starting kit there...

But 2 batteries on a day out should be enough given you bring your usb charger and plug in also for the car just in case? Or get one of those usb passthru and leave it in the car (back up is always good but don't leave it plugged in all the time.)

Haha, I got excited because I saw that someone replied to the thread... but alas, I don't drive. I'm in the middle of a city so I usually walk or take public transportation.

All I could add is that with my experience with the 650mah batteries (not twists) - two batteries would last me throughout the day. Normally you can say that the 100mah = 1 hour, of course as you pointed out, that strictly depends on vaping style. I usually averaged about 4 hours or so with a 650, most of that time I was chain vaping in front of the computer (as I am doing now ;))

For most people 2 650 mAh batteries would go all day. The general rule is every 100 mAh of rated battery capacity equals one hour of vape time. Ish...

On the other end of things though: may want to get 2 Ego chargers. If the plan is to take them both out the door with you in the morning and use the iTaste at home, you will want to make sure you have them both ready. Back to back charging can be done on a single charger. Two might make it a lot easier for you. Something to consider.

Thanks everyone. I'll just go with 2 650's, and if they die (which I doubt, considering your replies) then I'll get a set of 900's.

Good advice. I was actually going to order 2 USB chargers anyway, but more so because they're just cheap pieces of plastic and one could die in 2 years or 2 weeks.

Also, hello from across the Charles River. ;)

2 x 650mAh should be good for average vaping, but if you are using twists and set them above 4.0V all the time, you can consume it pretty quickly.

Having 2 chargers is a good idea so you can simultaneously charge them, but also have 1 mini 450mAh battery always around, in case you forget to charge the main ones. The little backup I have has saved me a few times. Here's where I got mine. It's a handy little battery.

I tend to vape around 2 - 3 mls per day, and a 1300 Spinner gets me through just fine, so if you're about that rate, 2 x 650 is probably fine. And having two with you is good insurance in case one fails. Batteries do fail... Typically I'll also have with me my VV3, or another 1300, or... ... with it's own full topper of choice. Again, things fail, break, or get used up. And that way, I can also have a couple of flavors in my pocket, to change things up.

Great replies, thanks again! It's funny, no matter how many devices I buy, or what combination of things I research, I always end up stressing about if I'll like it, or if it will be enough... yet when it comes down to it, we're usually just dealing with little gadgets that cost $5-20 (big mods excluded).

Crap, that's a good point. Back in the day I'd carry 2 non-variable voltage 650's and they got me through the day, but those are like 3.3 volts. And now I vape between 7-8.5 watts (9 if I'm fiending)... so that will definitely be above 4 volts.

So I could get 3 650's to be safe. I'm getting a large Ego case too so I'll have space.

Typically I'll also have with me my VV3

Or I could do this. But I'm a jerk and would prefer to carry multiples of the same model (yeah, I'm weird). haha

Good thread, folks. Neurotic VV vapers unite.

I am rock solid leaving the house for the day with 2 650s and 1 1000 mah, 2 bottles of juice and 2-3 tanks in an eGo case. I also have a mini Altoids case with extra drip tips, skirts and attys that fits inside the top pocket.

Now I change out my v3 for any given Twist.
