One thing about the eGo is that you can use many attys or cartos with it. Especially significant is the mega eGo atty/carts that hold either 1.5ml (A-type aka cone/atty) or 2.5ml (B-type aka cylinder atty) of ejuice. Same with the A and B type tanks of the eGo-t. You can still use your 510 attys on an eGo batt. It's a bit harder to use the mega eGo attys and tanks on regular tube or box mods without the right adapter without looking odd.... Plus I've had all you mention and my 'default vape' is the eGo-t B-type attys and tanks. Before that it was the mega eGo attys/carts - again B type for the capacity. It's quite a difference in the number of refills/topping off vs. the 510 cart which is a bit over .5mls. The E-power is much bigger than the eGo and again, doesn't fit with the eGo tank attys without an adapter....

box mod - try:

You'll get more for your money in a box mod. For that budget you can get a bottom feeder, vv or maybe both. Being made out of plastic they aren't as durable but no big deal if you're careful with them. Since you're getting a Roughstack....one of the most durable mods available I'd go the box mod route. I'd take the Ego off the list, it's a great starter PV but once you've used a true 3.7 device, you can see it's faults. Still nice tho when you're going out and want something small but you already have your 510 for that.

dont forget about the epower being upgrade-able...variable volt switch in the works, and all the parts are replaceable, so you dont have to buy a whole kit to replace just one thing. if you have time to tinker, i would go the box mod route, but if you are like me and dont have time and want the adaptability, try the epower. i have been extremely please with the battery life and it looks pretty good, esp without the cone lol

That might get me to buy one. I've been eying the e-power for some time but, I already have 4 eGo batteries and I just can't see that there's enough of a difference to justify it but with VV that would change.

The 1050 mah that comes with the e-power have been lasting me all day and I vape about 2.5ml per day. When it comes time to replace them, a 1300mah costs less the seven dollars. There is also a longer spring and sleeve in the works for the 14500 which is a 900mah battery that I've seen in bulk at very cheap prices. I'll probably never try the vv as 3.7v with attys and duel coils are right in my sweet spot already, but it will be nice for lots of people. :vapor:

If battery life is what interests you, you are right and when my eGo batteries go, I'll buy an e-power before I replace them. However, I recently got a cheapie VV box mod from madvapes. Using it with a regular atomizer turned up just a bit, is pretty much like using an LR atomizer on a regular battery. A little too harsh for me. However, with an HV 4.2 ohm atomizer at around 4.8 V it's sweet. That's a little cooler than most people want it but, that's what I liked. I get tons of vapor. A decent throat hit and I don't feel like I'm cooking my tongue. So, if a VV e-power came out, I might buy it without waiting for my eGos to go.

Thanks for all the input. I just got my roughstack and its a world of difference. As for box mods go, I'm looking at the REO mini, and a standard plastic box mod from Madvapes.
It looks like I'm crossing off Egos for now. Maybe later if I feel like collecting them.
Eventually I'll turn my roughstack into a maxi, which will allow me to vape at 3.7v, 6v, or 7.4v.

I just found these batteries in another thread. THey are protected so they are perfect! 14650 Battery 1600 mAh 3.7V Li-ion (PAIR) Will probably order these soon as well as a back up kit or separates from madvapes
Well here's a place that sells those perfect batteries, and actually tests to determine the true mAh for their customers.

Lithium Ion TrustFire 14650 rechargeable battery - e-lectronics.net
Capacity: These Cells are about 700mAh in a flashlight application; the PVC indicates 1600mah but they are not.

These Korean made Sanyo's are of a higher quality than Chinese cells and the mAh rating of 940 is probably quite accurate and the most that could be expected from a 14650.

Your Online Source For 3.6 Volt 7/5 AA 940 mAh Sanyo Li-Ion 14650 Battery

They are not protected though. Japanese/Koren cells seldom are.
