I've always understood Riva and eGo to basically be different branding of the same model. What made up my mind (I got an eGo) was just the fact that it's a genuine joyetech, which I'm hoping will improve reliability somewhat.

Can't go wrong with either one though, and Riva has a slighly better battery life (750mah vs. 650 on the eGo; although you can order 900mah batts for them as well).

OP you already know the differences between the two models, so all i can contribute is - I upgraded from Joye 510 to my Riva over a month ago and its always pure pleasure. Im impressed by everything about it and would change nothing. I even have a 5V PT that i hardly ever use; if anything, im more likely to throw a LR atty on the Riva. But usually im just vaping away at 3.7V.
