Hi all...first post here, been vaping a while with V4L batteries and carts, recently got an ego kit from gotvapes, along with their fluxomizers. I'm almost feeling like i just threw 98 bucks out the window...the ego seems like there is almost no airflow through it (using 510-808 adapter)...maybe i should have done some more research? i have followed the fill instruction for these fluxomizers and it has been like drinking the juice rather than vaping it. Can someone please help? I am new so i can't post in the gotvapes thread.

Does your adapter have little holes near the battery thread like an KR808D1 battery? 901 adapters are the same thread without the holes. No holes no air flow.

Ego batteries operate at a lower voltage than V4L batteries so that could also affect the amount of vapor and taste, but not air flow. A low resistance V4L WOW cartomizer should work better than say a CoolCart on the eGo. What kind do you have?--Edit - Whoops forgot you were using fluxomizer. Lots of threads on their problems, but I have no experience.

I am thinking of getting an adapter myself because I have too many KR808 cartridges and a new, frustrating eGo-T kit, but everyone is out of stock and I am waiting until I need something more than an inexpensive adapter. Wait for version 3 of the eGo-t atomizers and tanks and you can use them on your ego batteries. Did you get a standard ego atomizer? That is useful for dripping and sampling new flavors without filling a complete cartomizer.

Are you using a cone with your ego? Can you try it without, or loosen the cone? I should have a 501 to 808 adapter from LeCig in the next day or two, but I don't have a cone for my eGo batteries (bought the eGo-T, didn't like it, need to do something with the batteries).

For the fluxomizer/clearomizer, did you overfill it? Are you saying there's juice coming into the mouthpiece?

What is an "LR" cart? Sorry if it's a newbie question...my adapters have air holes on 808/901 side, but not on the 510 side...I just drilled 1/16" holes on opposite sides on the 510 side and it's been great! The fluxomizers are working better after experimenting with them a little bit...the flavor is MUCH better than the V4L WOW carts i was using...this is my first purchase from anyone other than V4L, nothing against them, just wanting to see what else is out there...loving the new setup! Very nice people on this forum BTW, thanks for all the helpful responses!

LR is Low Resistance. Resistance is measured in Ohms. The lower the resistance the hotter the atty will get. The KR8 (and I've also tried 510 ones) that I use are 2.0 ohm. Most KR8 cartomizers not labeled LR are 2.5 - 3.0 ohm.

For my taste I like the extra kick from the LR. Your taste may vary, but it's pretty cheap to try different ones to see what you prefer.

I use LR KR8 cartomizers (2 ohm) with Ego batteries almost exclusively now. Finally found the sweet spot.

This is the adapter I use.

510 to 901/808-D Adapter

It's been months but I'm going to reply anyway to your post. I was wondering what benefit you're finding with this setup? I have the eGO-t and use LR cartos with the batteries instead of the tanks (because the tanks seem to mute the flavors). I'm curious what benefit I'd see by using 808 cartos instead of the 510 cartos with my ego-t battery?

I use the a 510 to 901/808 adapter with my Riva 510 (3.7v) and get enough airflow for V4L cartos. I think I got it at Goodprophets but could have been Madvapes.

HOWEVER - Ego is lower voltage than Vapor4Life (KR808D-1). Ego is around 3.4v and Vapor4Life is 3.7v (and the Bloog/Volt types of KR8 are 3.6v). So the Ego is not going to get quite as much heat/vapor out of the cartos as a KR808D-1. However - the V4: WOW cartos should still vape fine on Ego since they are around 2.5 ohms. Try another adapter?

The Riva 510 kits at Liberty-Flights.com and the loose Riva 510 SE batteries are the latest 3.7v model from the manufacturer that makes the 3.7v version. So they do get the same heat/vapor out of a V4L carto (of course depending on their state of charge - both Riva and Vapor4Life are hotter than 3.7v right off the charger, and plateau at 3.7 then drop off)

If you want 808 cartos try the Bloogplanet ones. That have an easier bigger drag than Vapor4Life cartos though not quite as hot since the coil is at the bottom. And try an adapter from Goodprophets or madvapes?

I'd think unless you already have a supply or the fact that KR808s have a larger selection of prefilled flavors, none.

I didn't like the muted flavors of the tanks either.
