Nice! I can see that making for a really juicy vape. Think it would keep up with chain vaping?
Yep. Now with a KGD rewick it sustains 30W @ 360F on 100VG. When I say sustains, I define that as the DNA doesn't start flashing TP message including successive chain vapes. So power may dip while vaping but it never goes zero. Which is quite stressing and the method I always use when trying new builds for consistency of comparison. Up the temp, reduce the viscosity and it can sustain even more power. Though 24W is kind of my preference. Even with lowering the nic, 30-40W is just too much vapor for me. Above 40W and I start gagging and coughing even with no nic.
As soon as I saw it I planned to build it like that because its how I do the Rose

I could have bet on that! I started using verticals with Foggers and Kaisers.
Man I'd LOVE to see how you built and mounted this! Also what did you use for the coil?-Kingboomer
Mounting is easy. Just make sure the leg coming off the bottom is attached to the positive through hole and the last coil wrap is flush with top of chimney. Bend the legs with needle nose pliers or a flat blade and your fingers. Wicking them with Rayon is easy in concept but a little more time consuming then a horizontal build.
Rayon: Just pinch and end to make a tail, thread it through the space between the ground coil leg coming off the top and the coil and wrap it like an enchilada. Do two of these, one enchilada at the bottom of the coil and the other at the top of the coil with the ends going through the juice channels. First vertical build was with Rayon because it was handy. I prefer KGD on coil center builds so I've since re-wicked it with KGD in a simple coil sandwich. Which is a lot easier to do. No threading necessary.
KGD: One layer either side of the coil with the ends of each layer pulled through the juice channels. See-saw the strips back and forth through the juice channels so they bottom out then cut almost flush with chimney top and trim sides. I like the wick ends inside the build deck even on wick center builds. Trim as close as you can on the sides then gently form the wick ends towards the coil inside near the legs/juice channels until the ends are flush with the inside wall and blow on the ends. For making the strips, I take a pad, strip off both outside layers and fold the pad widthwise ie along it's length two to three times. I like three layers if using a 4mm coil and four layers if using a 3mm coil but it depends on pad thickness. You want the dry cotton to conform to the sides of the coil. Making the strips thicker helps with this but I don't like them packed in. PG liquids may need the cotton packed more if they leak. But over night with this build and 100VG no leaks and that was with the JFC left open.
The KGD sandwich build is sustaining 30W @ 360F. Coil is 4mm diameter, 24G Ni200, 8 wraps, .07. There is some tweaking with the wicking to get it to apply firmly around coil, all done while wick is dry. I'll make a video later if you like.
Roxy and others may know better methods.
