I was going to remark that you have too much wick outside the cup! Trim it flush, or protruding about 1 mm from the slot, no more. This is probably where your restrictive wick compression is happening. Notice the low profile of the O-rings framing the threads; you don't want a lot of fabric out there. The juice will come to it.
ya i trimmed it properly after i had taken the pictures. still didnt wick correctly thoug.

So how is your new wicking method holding up?

I keep getting the ring-of-juice. Only a little bit with the Nano but more so with the regular version. I'm pretty sure it's coming from the seem along the edge on the bottom of the deck.

I'm getting tired of the mess and am a little worried it'll get in my mod and kill it eventually. So I'm gonna try to plug those two little holes on the deck and see what happens. They seem completely useless to me anyways.

Still getting a little juice ring on my mod. I gave it some time to rule out leftover juice stuck in the afc, this must be from the new juice.

I'm thinking of trying the coil that came included with the atty (not the fat nichrome one), if it still sweats with the included coil and wick something must be wrong. However i bought mine from fasttech, so i don't think i can return it.

If it weren't for the broken o-ring & the right one missing from the package I probably wouldn't have been able to return mine neither. I guess it's buyer's-risk if these will work or not.

But victory, my Nano is still completely dry!

I refilled it twice yesterday, laid it on it's side for a couple of times, let the juice flow open all night, no more ring of juice! Not even the tiniest drop of sweat on the air-flow control ring what so ever!

Just wet on the inside and that's it

I suspect putting it together dry did the trick, but plugging up the two little holes on the deck probably didn't hurt neither.

Fasttech has great customer service! I've had to return/exchange items in the past and they've always paid for the shipping to return the item and the shipping on the replacement item. I wouldn't hesitate to open a ticket with them. You may have to provide photos of your problem, but I have never had them deny a claim yet.

After reading through the thread, although hesitant I got a Bachelor. Soaked it in Dawn, took it apart, (missing the grub screws:grr:) and ran it through the ultrasonic and lubed the O rings.
I put in the NI 0.2 coil that came with it for S and G's. Vape that for a day on TC @ 480 degrees 80 watts with the AFC and JFC wide open.
Was very impressed that it kept up and a great thick flavor. Changed the coil out to TI/rayon@ 0.3Ω...mucho better.
I found it easy to wick/fill and not a leak to be seen. Lately I've been using dual coil Aromamizers and Boreas tanks and the Bachelor matches very well with them with the added advantage of a whole lot less juice being consumed.

Even though my Bachelor .... me and i sent it back, when i was looking into another tank, the Hurricane, this morning, i found this mentioned as a wicking alternative for it and since the Hurricane has a wicking setup thats similar, i thought id pass on the link to the M wicking method

Angsty's Guide to the E-Phoenix Hurricane

And as bonus, anyone who might be interested in an Aromamizer, but is put off by the dual coil deck, i emailed SteamCrave earlier this week and had confirmation that in the next week or so a single coil deck will be available.

Just wanted to share that for all the other single coilists out there....

i wonder if this would promote leaking though. hope someone gives it a try as i currently have a pretty solid build in currently.

With the Bachelor you will definitely have to plug up those two little holes on one side of the deck for that method or it'll leak like crazy.

Here's another one if anyone feels like playing around with their wicking:

There are a ton of us that don't have any leaking issues without plugging those holes and just filling the channels. This is one of the easier RTAs I've used.

Also I agree with this rta fitting well with other duals in terms of vapor density and flavor.

Nice to hear another positive experience after the problems some of us been having!

I've never used dual coils but I don't think I need any more vapor or flavor then I'm getting from this tank.

I am going through more juice then I'm used to though. Coming form a Toptank at around 2ml a day I'm easily going through 4 or 5ml a day now. But I also vape more because I'm enjoying the whole experience more with this tank.

I had to cut back on the nicotine too. I basically only vape in the morning and in the evening, in the afternoon I'm usually to busy to even think about it. But for the last four days I've been having these massive draw-back symptoms at the end of the afternoon. I didn't realize what was wrong with me at first and it totally freaked me out for a day or two!

I'm at just one mg now, I think I'm going to try to quit nicotine altogether soon.

The Nano is getting pretty small at 5ml a day though

I was referring to the wicking method described in the link in the post I quoted.

I have been following this thread for a while and last week I received an email for 30% off from Eciggity so I ordered the Bachelor.
I've been using it on and off for the past few days. I built a 2.5/ 10 wrap spaced coil with Kanthal . Ohms in @ 1.2 No leaks for 2 days. I little bit today but shut the juice flow a bit and the leaking stopped.
I'm on the fence with this tank. Certainly not in love with it. Many have said its a good MTL but IMHO this tank is not set up to Vape MTL.
I find the flavor to be good but certainly not great compared to the Hurricane or Monster V3 that I use regularly. I use the Hurricanes for MTL and the Monsters when I'm in the mood for a change. I like the tighter draw of the Hurricane as my all day tank.
I would like to see a better mechanism on the top fill. It's way to easy to open the way it's made now. I have no confidence that if I pocket this tank that I may be wearing a tank of juice.
Juice consumption on this is significant. Triple to what I am accustomed to.
I will say that this tank can handle all the power you can throw at it. 35 watts on 1.2 ohm coil is a lot. Not one dry hit.
I love the concept but would like to see a better top cap lock , better grub screws and a real MTL draw.
Hope I find a way to enjoy this tank.

Thanks for the comparisons

You might like the Nano version with the optional MTL kit better then. The MTL kit contains a more restrictive mouthpiece and 2 different size screws to restrict the incoming airflow. It does have the same topcap but it might be a bit less prone to accidental opening because it is a smaller tank and sticks out less.
