Oh great, decided to buy one of these from eciggity last night, after watching this thread for a while, now today I come in to a few posts of leaking problems :glare:

Not to worry. I am the King of Leaks. STM, Crown, you name it, it leaks like a sieve for me.
Had two of these for a while now, recoiled and wick both a week ago. No leaks at all. Not even condensation.
It's the pre-Easter miracle!

I would challenge you for the crown, good sir. :p

But no leaks with my Bachelor yet either.
But I have other RBAs/RTAs to play with so I'm sure I'll have a mess soon enough.
The new iSub rba promises to be a problem. :D

For those with no leaking, are you using the same juice since you got the Bachelor? Or have you washed your tank since you got in order to change juice for example? The leaking for me always seems to happen after it's been washed and dried. But once it's starts working there's no leaking. I have a feeling that the top gasket is moving when it's still too dry and I close the top, breaking the seal and causing the leak.

I just tried this again tonight, completely cleaned and dried, wicked it, added some juice, few mins later it leaked. So I added a little juice to the gasket, made sure it was sitting properly, filled it again, closed the top, didn't touch the base or wick, and it hasn't leaked since.

I have been so happy with the Griffin except the capacity and juice gluttony. Going to pull the trigger on one of these when I get paid. Single coils rock too! Especially when you can fit such a large one on the deck.
That was my exact way of thinking when I ordered mine. This thing gets a lot better juice milage compared to my Griffin.

I think making sure that top gasket is wet with e liquid might be the solution to my previous juice dumping incidents also.

The last time I had a huge leak I put e liquid on the gasket after replenishing the tank and haven't had further problems so far . I have to do a refill this afternoon and I'll do the same and see what happens.

Duane,

I have been wetting my O-rings with juice every time I clean or partially disassemble any of my attys. If I don't I find I damage a lot of O-rings. If I don't lube them they either get pulled into the threads and cut or just plain tear when I put things back together.

Caveat, if you need to clean one with dish soap and then rinse real good those O-rings will stick and tear quicker than you can replace them unless you lube with juice.

Can someone post a picture of the oring that is meant to be lubed up on the tank, so I know when I get mine, thanks :)

Nailz,

I don't think it is overkill but I lube any O-ring I can see. This is especially true if you are taking a new Atty to pieces to clean right out of the box. Dish Soap or Alcohol will leave any O-ring bone dry and with a very high coefficient of friction - far more than most soft O-rings can handle.

Thank you @MMW so saying lube the top of it where the top cap goes over it then?

Nailz,

I wasn't even thinking of that top seal as an O-ring which it isn't. But YES that top seal needs lube also. Luckily every time you refill it is easy to add a drop of juice by each fill hole.

PS - sometimes lubing O-rings and seals can get a little messy but PG/VG is so extremely water soluble a wet paper towel will clean the outside of the Atty up like it just came out of the box.

Everyone was talking about that gasket before. I lube it on accident. I get a little messy from time to time. Also lube the two o-rings on the base of the deck.

MMW,

That is how I lube my top gasket by default I am sloppy and it gets lubed automatically when I fill.
