Just wanted to chime in and let everyone know that I have been loving these Bachelors. I haven't had a single leak after re-installing the one chimney O-ring that had come out in cleaning and changed up the wicking a bit. Refill after refill and no leaks or off-flavors.

I can't afford to chase every new RTA or device on the market, and these turned out to be a good investment.

Yesterday night I filled it without closing JC.
Didn't leak a drop:thumbs:

Got my bachelor in today!

Cleaned it up, but it didn't seem bad out the box. They intend you to use it right away. Lubed all orings with VG. Definitely push the base in before screwing or you'll tear up the upper base oring. I did take the coil out first and it was jammed in there due to overtightening at the factory. Had to pull it with pliers.

The coil, what a honker! 22g or something installed, it takes a few puffs just to get it going. I don't go over 26 typically. It just takes to long to heat up for my vaping style.

Oh put the black orings in, and it looking good so far. Wish the top notched in a little tighter.

I was surprised that it's just barely shorter than the FEV in 5ml mode.

These are my initial impressions without having time to vape it till later. I'll have to change that coil..

I'm a single coil person. Will probably pass on this one.

I'm with ya there. Had my attention till I saw that. There are plenty of dual coil tanks out there. We need more single coil options.

First build on the bachelor.
Text Reposted from rayon thread

"Playing with the bachelor. Trying to find the coil for it. Was going to go 28g stainless but man that stuff kinda drives me nuts. Too flimsy and springy, torching it slightly make it even weaker. Option is to twist but I think then I'd have a little more heat retention than I want, but will try it next time. Or twist it with 32 kanthal. The bachelor came with a gigantic 4 or 5mm 22g coil. That took a few vapes just to get it going and then sizzled - for ever after the vape.

I went 26g, 3mm(2.5 is what I'm used to) I will need more spacing or a smaller coil to span the deck with less wire... cause I'm up at 1.3 ohms right now and the evic 60w maxes out at 7.99v and 47.7w at that ohm! I'm vaping it at the max 8v and there's plenty of air flow and juice flow. The wick slots are slightly bigger than 3mm. 50w single coil with this tank no problem it seems.

I did move the coil up a little to the higher position but it's still just the first day with it.

On the evic, and a FEV v3 next to it.

Liking this bachelor quite a bit, I'm new at building and this has been a little tricky for me to keep it from leaking so far. I think my last build is correct (just finished and started vaping it) but it seems to be a little time that tells if it leaks or not. I used the installed coil for a while but the time it took to heat up was not great for me. Not sure what i did with my first build but it was jumping ohms (2.5mm 26g SS) and not sure but this last build (3mm 26g Kanthal) is a whopping 1.69-1.68 ohms, is that normal?

And it's staring to leak... with the JC 1/2 or less open as well. Love vaping on this but really having trouble building it correctly.

Your resistance is probably normal. Its a big coil.

Make sure your wick is completely filling the slot on both sides. Top, bottom and sides. If it is, it shouldn't leak.

I thought it was, but maybe only when dry. I am definitely getting a gurgle so it must be the wick. Guess I gotta go thicker...

Also make sure you cut it pretty close the the cup. If its too long, the jc might grab it and move it out of place.
