Hmmm...wrong side of the planet, maybe? Your Bachelor leaks and your VTC Minis don't work right, so I'm thinking you live in OppositeLand. Did you try holding them upside-down?

if it's perfect for you then you're doing it right. it's just that i suspect the tcr the mod is using may not be correct. i like numbers and math but in the end what works for you is most important.
when you guys who are doing spaced coils in this thing, how wide are your spacings? i dont really have anything to accurately measure but is going with wider spaces between the coils ok? im finding that going with larger than 3mm diameter coils is the way to go to get the amount of cotton needed to fill the juice channels. i have a few random machine screws that im going to be testing with but the ones i have the spacing seem to get wider the larger diameter i go up.
I wrap contact coils and then stretch the coil apart. Then squeeze them back together and they end up perfectly spaced. Maybe 0.5mm? Too far apart and I have difficulty getting cotton pulled through.
I make spaced coils just like Justahobby does. Wider spacing is okay but if the spaces turn out a little too wide you can always get them closer after you install the coil by using tweezers. No need to measure. Most of us have built countless spaced coils and never measured the spaces. You just don't want the wraps to touch. That's all that really matters. Some of my coils end up with wider spaces than others, and that really does make wicking a tiny bit trickier, but the vape is just as good.
my next build will have 4mm diameter. i just wrapped one with 9 wraps 26g SS and its a bit wide. i could scrunch it together if i wanted. its wider than the lower gage coil that came with the tank(using that for width reference). i think that will give me the .8ohm im looking for. if not i can try and drop the wraps down to 8.
I just built my first 4mm (didn't count the wraps). I think I like it better than the diameter of the ni200 that came with the tank. It's easier to fill the channel up with 4mm.
Received my Bachelor yesterday, wasn't impressed with the installed coil, it was huge and drained the battery big time. Didn't like the blue/green rubber seals, changed them for the black straight away.
Changed the coil last night to a twisted 26 gauge nichrome 80/20 5 spaced wraps coming in at 0.5 ohm, wicked it no problem juice it up and had a leak from the air hole !! Investigated and the clear rubber o-ring from inside the chamber had decided to come out !!
Sorted that out and vaping my DIY 50/50 pg/vg fruit mix and the flavour is great. Running at 35w is my sweet spot for my own juice and loving this tank.
Only complaint is i'd like a little more airflow. and I have noticed a little wobble in the tank between the air flow ring and the juice control ring but I can live with that .
So far so good, no more leaking of juice, easy to fill and enjoying every vape.

Mine is on house arrest. Every time I took it to work, the top cap would slide open and dump a tank full of juice in my pocket. Other than that, good tank.

My Bachelor arrived today. I must say I'm not impressed so far.
When screwing the bottom bit apart this mangled up o-ring fell out:
I replaced it with the spare one that came with it after I cleaned the tank & then lubed it up with plenty of juice but it still took a bite out of the new o-ring when screwing it back together. It's still intact enough but I'm pretty sure it'll fall apart on me as well next time I unscrew it.
The parts were also very difficult to screw back together with the new o-ring in place. On top of that the Bachelor won't connect to my Evic VT. It appears the center pin in the 510 connection is stuck on my VT but I'm still waiting on some feedback about that. The threads on the Bachelor are about a mm shorter then the ones on my Kanger Toptank though, I'm sure that doesn't help much neither.
Luckily I bought it from a local seller. Still waiting to hear from them if I need to send it back in or that they'll send me a bunch of replacement o-rings, because I'm sure I will need a lot of those with this one.

I noticed the wobble yesterday. I think it's because there's only two thin threads holding the base to the chimney sections. I made sure to screw down the base extra tight and that made it go away.
I discovered that while trying to figure out a small leak/weep. I haven't seen any liquid pooling around the build deck, and I am vaping at 510F and with airflow mostly closed. Maybe it's condensation.

i set mine up like yours as well! didnt use any of the stock coils but used them as a bit of a template for my own coils. if i get the base and the tank section tight i dont have an wobbles. if i want to line up the wicks with the open juice flow holes there is an ever so slight wobble if i force it back and forth. not sure using it that way aids in the leaking or not.
maybe try a 'vape band' around the top there to keep it securely shut?
i like this 4mm build ive done so far. i think i might have to cut my coil legs a bit shorter so my cotton can reach the bottoms of the juice flow channels. not sure why they are cut so deep like that to where even the o-ring is over them. if the coil is too high the wicks have to take a sharp angle down to fill it all up. or i guess i could bump the coil diameter up to 5mm for even more wicking. i bet i can get away with a coil that large in here.

Ok, got it working now. I pulled out the center pin from the 510 connection of the Bachelor and stuck a tiny piece of copper underneath it before putting it back in place. The tank hovers a mm or two above my mod now but at least it works so I can get a feel for the tank before I return it.
I'm getting a weird plasticy taste. I washed the entire tank with hot soapy water, rinsed it thoroughly afterwards and let it dry in the sun & wind before use so it should be good. The plasticy taste got a bit less when I swapped the drip tip for one of my own but it still tastes funny.
I'll give it a bit more time though. It usually takes a ml or two before my wicks are fully up to taste so perhaps that's putting me off. Or the flavor from this thing is so much stronger than my Toptank's that it makes my juice taste too strong possibly, idk yet.
So definitely not a good first impression. Apart from that the juice control and airflow control move to easily imo, which make changing the settings unintentionally way to easy.
Oh well, at least it doesn't leak
