Woot, got the Nano I won in a giveaway from Heaven Gifts today, thanks again
@AlmightyEvan !!
They were also nice enough to include the MTL kit. I don't think I'll be using the more restrictive air-nozzles from the kit but I really like the more restrictive drip-tip that came with it.
Let me start by going in to the o-rings to clarify the problems I've been having with my regular Bachelor:
It's clear to me now that there's nothing wrong with the Bachelor I got, except maybe the shorter 510 pin I had to work around & of course the broken o-ring it came with right out of the box.
As it turns out the broken o-ring that it came with was replaced (by me) with the wrong one, one that belongs in the chimney instead. So that is what caused it to shred, it was simply too thick for where I put it.
The one I put in the Chimney last Sunday after finding out there wasn't one in there was the right o-ring though, which can only mean that it came with two spare o-rings for the chimney, but no spare o-rings to put on the base of the build deck hence my screw-up.
The Nano did come with one spare for the base as well as one for the chimney so with that set I was able to make sure I have all the right o-rings in the right place on both my Bachelors now. Both have been completely leak proof since, so far anyway (if it changes I'll let you guys know of course).
Ok that's that, back to the Nano:
It really is very similar to the regular Bachelor, the only difference I could find is this little stop-pin on the airflow control of the Nano:
My full size Bachelor does not have that pin.
Other then that the airflow holes on the Nano are approximately one mm longer then on the regular Bachelor but otherwise they seem pretty much identical except of course for the different capacity.
The airflow might be slightly less restricted on the Nano but frankly I find it hard to tell a difference, so if there is one it is really close.
edit: I forgot to mention that the copper 510 pin on the Nano wouldn't connect to my Evic neither without shimming it, but that's probably the Evic's fault.
And another observation; the airflow control on the Nano is much stiffer then on the full size model. On the 4ml version I can just lay a finger on the ring and move it around, but I need to grab it pretty firm on the Nano to move it around. I'm very happy with that.
What else to say, I really don't know, lol
Lets finish with some more pics. My indoor pics always suck but the weather is too bad to do an outside shoot right now. I'll try again when we get some better weather though. For now these will have to do:
28g grade 1 titanium, twisted, 8 wraps with an ID of 3mm, comes in @ 0,37Ohm.
And finally:
If anyone has any questions or pics requests just say the word.
Cheers!
