Ehpro kayfun 3.1 clone

So I picked up an Ehpro kayfun 3.1 clone today. It took me about an hour and a half to build the coil and get it dialed in to 1.7 ohms. Took a little time to get the wick just right where it could easily but not to easily pull through the coil. Did a wet burn to make sure it was vaping properly before putting on the chimney, added juice and damn near fell outta my chair. The flavor was so potent and so intense that I couldn't believe I did it on my first try. I'm running it on my Provari at 4.0 volts and am grinning from ear to ear. This completely blows the Aerotank MEGA that I was using for the past 3 months outta the water and into orbit.
I was skeptical at first to building coils, but after reading threads on here and watching hundreds of videos on YouTube that I figure if everyone can do it, so can I. I'm so glad I did.

You get a sense of accomplishment when you get them done. I still feel that way when they come out good. Congrats on moving forward. Just watch out now you will want to rebuild everything. Lol

Buying my first kayfun has led me to begin to shelf all my protanks, buy 5 more kayfuns then a fogger. My protanks did me well but you have to march forward with better gear and the kayfun is most definitely better gear.

I've got one coming in next week. I like mini naughty, but I much prefer my RDAs, for the customization and the economy of it. I'm really looking forward to getting it.

kayfuns are easy to build. good job, thats a nice coil. just change the wick and dry burn once a week. that coil will last a long time.

I usually don't rewick changing flavors. Seems like the new flavor comes through quick. I change my wick about every 3-4 days though. Like others have said though, after going to my kayfun i don't use tanks anymore. It's so much better.

How do I know when to re wick? Does the flavor and taste go away?

You'll notice something about the taste; like it would tend to taste more burnt over time because the wick touching the coil gets more black over time.

The little screw that you have to unscrew to fill it is a PITA. I was wondering if there is a easier way to fill it?
There is also only one screw on the bottom of the tank that sits on the firing pin. I unscrewed it yesterday then screwed it back in cuz I wasn't sure what it does, what does this screw do?
Also below the air hole and fill screw it looks as if the pieces can separate, can they and if so what's behind it?

1: The topfill method is to block the airhole with your thumb, and then unscrew the topcap;
(when you take off the topcap make sure the rubber seal is in place to seal the chimney top for when you put it back on).
Then pour your juice in.
Then: start screwing the top back on: I just continue screwing it down from there;
you can also turn it over at this point and continue screwing it on to reduce likelyhood of temporary flooding.

2: The screw at the bottom is the adjustable center pin.

3: Yes that bottom piece can come off;
if flooding occurs and liquid gets down into the airhole, it also gets down in the bottom cup.

With a little modding/sealing, I think I can use that bottom design to make the kayfun into a hybrid, but I don't have a mod with those theads; I suspect it's M20x1 threads; my mods are m21x1

I don't get it, I wicked it 3 times so far and the second and third time wicking, I now have gurgle, what gives?

I have a long dental pick I use but anything long and thin will do. Take the wicking and make kinda waterfall over the juice channel then with the long thin whatever you slide it down the side and remove all the wick from over the juice channel hole. Wicking over the juice channel hole will cause flooding.
Wicking kayfun is vital and might take a couple few times to get it right. I also wet the wick with juice, push it all back against the lower deck, put on the chimney cylinder then adjust the wick. I don't like the lift the dry wick up, put on the cylinder then push the wick down method, it just didn't work as good as wetting the wick first way I do it.

The key to kayfuns is keeping the air pressure right. Lose the suction and it will gurgle.
I don't have the clone but with the genuine one, I have found that I have to keep my finger on the air hole as I am filling it. I can't fill to fast (Bottom filling) or too much air goes in that cannot come out. I squeeze the bottle and let off to let the displaced air go back into the bottle. I take my time filling (really doesn't take that long though) and letting the air back into the bottle. As soon as it gets to the top of the glass part, I lose sight of how full the tank is getting so I only do one more squeeze.

While keeping my finger on that air intake hole, I then put the fill screw back in. I used to have the same problems with gurgles until I started covering that little hole EVERY time. OOOH and one more thing, I use a small piece of paper towel to fill the hole where the drip tip sits. Take off the drip tip and stuff it with paper towel. The less air that you get in there, the better the device works.
