Somewhere out there
So I think I mostly figured out the misty hits. I forgot that I had closed the airflow up some when playing around with it after the first tank. So I opened it up, and it's not so misty now, less popping, and I think the flavor is slightly better now. I knew it had to be user error since it worked fine the first build/tank. I'm glad I can stop fooling around with wicks and coils as I think they were all fine (well mostly all fine since the cotton yarn didn't work as well, using cotton balls just fine now). It's still a little more misty than I prefer, maybe I'll take the screw all the way out. But I think it's pretty airy as is (which is why I had closed it up some before)

I think the height of the coil above the air hole makes a difference in how saturated the vapor is. Low, very close to the airhole, seems very saturated, almost wet feeling. Having the coil higher above the airhole makes the vapor seem dryer.

there is definitely a sweet spot.

too low and it just has no flavor and will vape like meh; too high and it won't cloud properly

I've had my v1 Kayfun since last fall. I really liked it but it always leaked out of the fill hole and I never really got the build right. Early on I always got a metallic taste that was really bad. I finally found out that when I was folding the wick down that the last part of the coil didn't have any wick touching it. So I was like a hot spot. Part of the learning curve.

I love dripping but it's just not practical where I work so I carry my Kayfun. So I started thinking that I really need another one in case something happened to my original. When I found the newest v2 from EHPro at 101vape I jumped on it. Loved the look of the new tip. I was so impressed by the quality and and how it all worked I ordered another last week. No leaking from the fill hole and with the recessed screw it so much easier to refill. But I still have to use my Ucan to fill it which is kind of a drag. BUT no leaking!!! I'm fine with the air screw out to the edge of the base.

So, on my original KFL I was running a nano kit to reduce the overall length. I pulled the nano kit from my original KFL and just tried to install it on the EHP KFL +v2 and it doesn't go together. The top of the chimney hits the bottom of the top cap and won't let it screw down which is kind of a bummer.

Has anyone tried a nano kit on their EHP KFL+ v2? I will probably have to chase down a new top cap.

Thanks JD1. Where do u get your chease cloth and is there any special prep like boiling?

I picked it up at walmart. I didn't boil it, but maybe should have. I like it because it wicks well enough and the slight cotton taste disappears within a few puffs. I think I'm going to try the koh gen do cotton pads though. They're a little pricey at 12 bucks for 60 pads but seems to get good reviews from the folks that has tried it.

I have both the tobeco and ehpro versions of this. I haven't tried building my black one yet(ehpro). I hope to not have any leaking issues with it, as my tobeco one leaks just a bit out of the air hole. I have removed the air adjustment screw after it caused it to get stuck on my panzer. It's not a huge deal, since it only leaks a few drops between the rda and top cap of the mod, but it's still annoying.

Jerry, I got my nano kit from ABC vaping and tried it on my BE Kayful lite + and it seemed to fit fine. I did not keep it installed so I don't know how it actually worked.

Thank you for the reply. I was going to buy a quartz nano setup from ebay but decided to write the seller. I asked about the newest version of the EHP KFL+v2 and they said it doesn't work with that one specifically. I notice that the point where the chimney enters the top cap comes down into the juice chamber further than on the original KFL.

I'm thinking that I would probably have the same issue with the SOV quartz nano kit, too.

My black EHPro performs every bit as well as my full sized Russians. The only problem I had was that the 510 screw needs to be tightened all the way or else the +ve post is loose. I was worried that it wouldn't connect to any of devices but luckily it does. Because of this, the top of the screw pokes out of the air hole so I had to raise the coil pretty high to avoid a short but despite all this, it works very well.

I ordered mine, waiting for it to come in on Tuesday. All I have is 30 gauge Kanthal wire here and I'm wondering if that will work to make coils for this rba.

    definitely

for standard res (1.2-2.2 ohm) 30 g is ideal; to go lower just do a 2 or 3 strand twisted.

One thing about kayfun is that there is limited space to build due to the chimney

I got the EHPro KFL+ and literally the ONLY problem with it is the drip tip is a bit loose. Other than that it's kickin

mine's actually nice and tight, but try some electrical tape, cut small and stretched thin, to tighten it up

Cool, ty. I won't be able to go lower atm seeing as I'm using a sigelei zmax v3 that faults on anything lower then 1.2 ohms.

then a 30g micro with like 7 wraps will do you right

I'm on an extended twisted/braided wire kick presently. But to do that on a regulated device you really need 32g

    no

    ......

k, i take your word for it !

i have bought three different versions from fasttech and the most expensive one is actually the worst ( my local brick and mortar said it was the Tobeco version ). The building deck actually started to rust after a couple of months ! To be fair, they did send me a new one. The other two for around $ 20 are fine to be honest, no leaking or gurgling or anything, but the craftsmanship leaves a little to be desired.

I want to buy one more and trying to decide between this version and the Black Edition. Both get good reviews. This one is a couple dollars cheaper, but the black comes with more spare parts. i really think they are the same, just different packaging and spare parts. can't be sure though. was hoping someone who has both can shed a light.

All I can say is the EHPro is in a completely different league from the Tobeco, as for black vs reg.. who knows.

Mine came with everything in the OP; I've been using the big clear section exclusively though, 'cause it's different from what I've had and I like the look.

My EHP v2 came with a bunch of o-rings (even the small one for the for the chimney but NOT the one for the fill port screw(?)), replacement screws, all three tanks some wire and silica. Oh and the little screw driver.
