Unless your EJMU calc is several versions old, you go to "Tools", "Grams Set" and enter your values then click "OK".
After entering values, go to the top menu "File", "Save As Default" keeping the file name "Default.dft" so that the calc will remember the settings for each new recipe you create.
If it's an existing recipe, you will have to enter the gram weights then save the recipe to retain.

You change the ratio to whatever blend you have. 70/30, 50/50, all pg or all vg. That just affects the final ratio of the mix. That part is irrelavent to the weight thou. You have the nic weight at 1. Which may be correct so to get 100ml of 6mg from 12mg would be 50% or 50grams considering the weight is 1

My problem is, that my nic base is 30/70 at 12mg.
I want to know how many grams of the nic base (30/70) I have to use for the recipe for the final 100ml of eJuice.

You’d need to weigh one ml of nic. It’s set at 1:1, which is not accurate as most of the nic base is pg and vg.

These are the values I use but its up to you if you want to enter specific gravities for each flavor.
PG 1.038
VG 1.26
VG nic 100mg 1.235
PG nic 100mg 1.035
flavors 1.00

Using these figures, I calculated 70% of the vg nic plus 30% of the pg nic, and came up with 1.175. Probably close enough.

I see the potential for ease of use and consistency in mixing by weight, but only if one puts in the ground work of weighing every ingredient.

Yes, but sometimes I get a premixed base, like this 12mg 30/70. Fortunately it's my last 100ml bottle :)

If you have a mix of Nicotine that is not listed above the calculation is fairly simple:

48mg VG based nicotine solution. That's 4.8% pure nicotine and 95.2% pure VG. Pure nicotine weighs 1.01g/ml and Pure VG weights 1.26g/ml. Let's assume we have 100ml for simplicity with decimal points.

4.8 x 1.01 = 4.848 grams. 95.2 x 1.26 = 119.952 grams. If we add these two together: 4.848 + 119.952 = 124.8 grams. Divide it by 100 and we have our weight per ml for 48mg nic. 124.8 / 100 = 1.248 g/ml. This same breakdown can be done for 50/50 blends, just know that the non pure nicotine portion of your base is split 50/50, for example, 60ml in 50/50 mix = 6% pure nic, 94% left over = 47% VG, 47% PG.

If I was using 12mg/ml 30%PG as my base, I would use 1.2g as the weight per ml.
