So about a month ago I bought a no name brand ecig and loved it but it broke. I went back and they gave me another one that was a no name brand and it worked great too. I needed a new atomizer and found out that they didn't sell it for the one they sold me. Today I went to the VaporFi store and got a VaporFi Pro Starter Kit, now I know I can get parts that I need. The problem I'm having is I'm using the same E-juice in the VaporFi Pro as I was in the no name and it tastes completely different. In my old one when I would vap it would make my mouth water because it tasted so good and sweet but the same juice in this VaporFi it doesn't take sweet at all, it doesn't take like coconuts, it almost tastes like new electronics smell. I've been vaping on it now for about 30 minutes (not consecutively) and there is not change. Please tell me that I didn't just waste $55[h=1][/h]

Welcome - so far I have found that a different taste is caused by what you have on top of the battery. I have used a juice that I thought I loved on an Aerotank, just purchased an Aspire mini and the taste is phenomenal (now I really don't care for the taste in the Aerotank). You didn't waste all the money, but may want to experiment with your carto, clearo, etc.

With new equipment, there is sometimes shipping lubrication. This can be machine oil, but that's usually the case with dripping atomizers, not with what you have.

With what you have, there might be some VG (vegetable glycerin) in the top atomizer part. It won't do you any harm, because it's one of the ingredients in e-juice. It just keeps th wicks in your atomizer wet (which is a good thing).

Sometimes, they use really cheap VG, which n have an off-taste, but once you vape through that, and your regular juice "takes over", you should start to see a difference.

It may never be the same as your old rig, though. The coil in your new rig might be a different ohm rating than the one in the old rig, and that (along with the power of the unit) can make a difference in flavor.

I'd guess from what you are saying, that it's most likely the shipping VG.

Hopefully, it'll work out for you.
