Hello all, I recently bought 10 meters of 2mm Ekowool from a co-op. Not sure if I can post the name of the group, but Im having nothing but trouble with it. I had been buying from Ebay and someone told me of a great deal and of course jumped on it.
After having it ship, finally.... I noticed it was different from what I previously had been getting. It is supposed to be the hollow, but it seems thicker and more dense and not as shiny. I contacted the co-op and they assured me it was Genuine Ekowool from Russia, even loaded a pict of the box.
I went to the official site and they had a warning regarding counterfeit Ekowool from China and other countries and that all Genuine EKowool has a holographic logo on the package, which I did not see on the photo of the package.
I dont know if Im just paranoid but since I got this batch, seems like Im not getting good wicking. I also notice its drier when I cut it. THe other Ekowool I have in smaller diameter is soft and shiny and really absorbent.
Now I have all this 2mm Ekowool and dont want to use it, its really frustrating. It works fine on drippers but on my Odysseus's Im getting dry hits and or flooding when I open up the juice control.
Anyone else had problems with thier EKowool or bought a large amount from a co-op recently?
I guess I could sell it, it was a great price 10 meters for 21.00 , so much less expensive, 1/2 the price of what I usually paid.
Guess Im stuck with it, I hate to put it up on the classifieds with out full disclosure, im kinda like that, I would not sell something because its not right nor would I want to have someone get it and get a bad impression of it.
