Definitely try that coil with other devices, Make sure it is screwed in nice and tight, as well as try looking at the display as you screw the tank on -- sometimes it will read just fine until that last turn (which may be too tight) and all you need to do is back off a little.
I rarely go over 10 watts, most of my preferred juices taste best right around there and no matter how much I absent-mindedly chain vape, I don't risk burning anything.
YMMV -- right, Cheech?

I run my mods in voltage mode, usually, with dual coils, 4.2-4.4v or so.

But if you prefer the wattage mode, you should bear in mind that you're dealing with two 2.4Ω or 3Ω coils, respectively. I like 6-7 watts per coil, sometimes more, so start at 11-12 watts (or even less) and see how you like it. Dual coils produce more vapor so lower wattages are fine for me.

Me thinks the 1.2 coil is a single vertical?

Methinks sure the 1.2 coil is a single vertical?

Ooops........... Yes it is.

I'll edit my post so it doesn't confuse anyone. Good catch! So sorry.

Yes. I had one do exactly that; it wouldn't register on my iStick but then I loosened it up just a hair and VOILA! Working coil! Also, I raised the connector on the iStick before and that helped with getting a coil to register.

Morning Air heads!

Would it be possible for someone to get measurements for the flat o ring on top of the cap of the Air coils?
Starting to lose these and would like to find replacements!

Morning, Prof. Coil,
There are at very least two widths for those critters, all authentic ismoka/eleaf.
The fast-tech clones precisely match one of the eleaf varieties.

Why, pray tell, are these called "o-rings"? I thought those were tubular. I thought the flat guys were washers. Please whittle away at my ignorance. Thanks.

I'd say it's actually a flat gasket for technical terms. :2c:

Day 2 as an airhead. Been through around 6-7 MPs of juice in the 1.2 coil. On filling noticed lots of juice collected under the drip tip, cleaned it out. Started vaping again at 12 watts and lots of spitting n' popping. Turned it up to 15 watts and opened the airflow to full, seems to have improved things.

Am I encountering the day 2 flooding referred to prior on these 1.2 coils?

Wow seems to have worked....was never sure before, but for now I reckon both higher wattage and more airflow help prevent flooding. From there one can tweak I.e. Rather than 15 watts and fully open airflow, I just upped the watts to 16 and reduced airflow to around 40%, similar result.

Makes sense as a higher wattage will burn off more juice if it's getting over saturated, and more airflow will effectively help to limit the juice getting to the coil on draw.

Conversley lower wattage and less airflow would appear to help avoid dry hits, perfect example would be primer puffs where the airflow is closed and no wattage applied.

Thanksinadvance, I'm not familiar with the 1.2 but so far there has been more complaints on them than the 1.5's. I'd try the 1.5's. :)
Maybe in the near future, if you're willing to rebuild, you'll like them even better!

Aye most seem to prefer the 1.5's. I would but am paranoid about the silica, I try and use cotton whenever I can. Real shame they don't do 1.5's in cotton.

The turning the wattage up along with increasing airflow has fixed the spitting/ flooding. Back in use and am able now to lower the wattage and reduce airflow again.

Looks like you may have answered my question I posed earlier (was it in this thread? I think so...) Anyway, I was wanting to know what was best for conserving juice insofar as one can when one is a chain vaper. No one seemed to have a clear answer (I even Googled it!) but the theory seemed to be that the smaller AFC opening the more "siphoning" of the juice, thus more of it burning on a draw. Seemed logical to me...and you seem to be confirming it! Interesting! I was beginning to suspect as much from my fumbling attempts at "testing" I've been doing the past couple of days.

The thing that confused me a bit was seeing a post by someone saying that the open air flow thing was for "cloud chasers" at hight wattage who didn't care about wasting juice (or something to that effect). Got me scratching my head, wondering.
