I think PufZepplin has got it! You may have Burnt Coil in a Different Mode! 600 degrees sounds a bit high to me! What kind of juice are you using? What is the PG/VG Percentages? We know you are at 12mg Nicotine!

For instance on My iStick 40 watt TC & GS-tank with Blue Band TC Coil I'm at 530 degrees with Weaponized UZI an 85/15 VG/PG at 6mg Nicotine. This is basically a Dripping Liquid I'm using in tanks! Works Great Fantastic Vape & Flavor!

600° seems very hot (to me)

do you LOCK your coil Ω's ????

suggest you lock Ω and start back at 300°
work UP/DOWN Temp as needed
it doesn't happen in ONE hit, give a little time to settle in

best I got...

:)
yes I do lock ohms its lock at 0.13and ive got it on 300 and push fire and says temp procted, thanks 4 your help tho its doing my head in now ill work it out

Yes, it will go into Temp Protect (and should)
sucking on it draws air across the coil and then regulates
trying to maintain the Temp You set via the watts applied

I have the same problem with the TC coils. When in TC mode, and the Temp Protect comes on, it just doesn't hit well at all. The TC coils seem to perform better for me in regular watt mode and even then, it's hit or miss. I have 3 of those coils left and then poke me with a fork, cuz I'm DONE. :nah:

hear many peeps say the same

I can’t imagine:
  • I just make a .5Ω Ti coil (or factory ones)
  • set it to Ti mode
  • 40w
  • 350°

then just vape away with NO WORRY about dry hits
I never look at my display, sometimes bumb Temp 320°- 420°
it just has been working for me on my evicVT & wifes TC40
all by feel, taste...

wish I had something to tell ya, it's just been that simple for me...
sometimes (just because the cool kids do it) I crank it up to high Temps
and blow big clouds, but qwikly back to 350° and tootle away

just keep trying, low Temps, let it break in, plenty air, long draws
you know all the standard stuff...
(lock coil Ω's)

good luck
 :)

I agree with PufZepplin if it's set Right, Locked Down its No Hassle No Burn Just Great Vape! Yep, Crank it up Blow those Clouds and come back down to Normal Vape Temp! Same goes for all my TC Tanks and Devices! eVic, Pegasus what ever! If set properly Nothing but Great Vape! Only thing I would Recommend is Higher VG for a more Satisfied Vape! Again Just My 13 Cents Worth!

Sorry Skully, high VG would put me in the hospital :) I think I'll stick with 50/50. I stopped at my local b&m yesterday to talk to the owner. Since I was there last they've put in a vaping bar. There were several people around it and it was so cloudy in there you really couldn't see anything. I left without talking to the owner because I couldn't see. I guess I don't get the whole clouds thing. :(

Question for the veteran coil rebuilders.

Clean and Rewick OR Rewind and Rewick?

Putting the coils through a soak clean, dry burn and Then the ultrasonic and drying before RW sounds like more a PIA than it's worth.

I know I can disassemble and rewind as fast as all that.

But that disassembly Does add some wear and tear to the plug and other components...

What say yall and if you Do Ubersonically clean and rewick, how many times before you start Completely Fresh?

PS; Got 3 GS MS filled with Ohm's Vapes, Blue Moo, Root Beer Float and Strawberry Shortcake, a veritable Flavapalooza!

Ocal, I'd say tear them down and recoil and rewick. You're right. It's not worth it. Once torn down UC everything and go to town on your recoils. Wire and Rayon is dirt cheap. The insulators are at Ebay if you need new ones...
