I have one running if it's the one I am thinking of. @gt_1955 posted it (tootle puffers thread) and called it the Frank n tank. It uses the base of a ego one, CLR coil and the top tank section of the eleaf GS air. I will come back with links.

It works really well. The coils last for ages. I use silica wicks and it took me a bit to work out how much to use but no dramas anymore and the airflow is perfect for me
Too bad I got rid of all those little silicone caps for the PT II mini...
Thank you for posting that!

The little caps that come with the CL/egrip and even the one from Eleaf air coils work. You just have to be a bit steady when you put it together (because it's loose) it just limits the flow a bit. Any made up gasket would do the same.

Off the top of my head the old tops of the chimneys in any clearo could be cut down to fit. I am just picturing all the different coils I have and lots of them have something that could work

Hey Robert Cromwell: I see you like the .75 Coil! Have you used them in any other tanks? I was curious about them so back on Feb 13 page 270 I posted I was going to start using them in the GS-Tank the M & MS Tanks along with some photo comparisons.

I'm playing catch up again but after 2 weeks of using them I have found that I really like the .75 coil in these Tanks! What gets me is why I never tried to build one of these in or around .8 ohms before? I have to Kick Myself for that!

The .75 has given me the Best Vape So Far of All the GS Air Coils! That includes the .15 TC Coil too! Though I lose the TC Function using them in the GS-Tank they work Awesome in Wattage Mode on the iStick 40 TC!

Why they haven't made a .5 Nickel TC Coil I don't understand? If they did I'm sure they would sell a ton of em!

Skully {:{}

PS: Does anyone know if there would there be any interest if I were to put 1.5 & .15 Coils up in the Classified Adds? I've Never Sold anything there?

I dunno about the Air and M tanks but I use .75, 1.2 and 1.5 coils in my little GS AIR 2.
The ones I use are all physically the same as far as fitting the tank.

I only have the 14 mm GS Air 2 so far. 4 of them ;)
And yes I like the .75 coil.
Amazing getting 20 watts out of that little coil.

You
That is one well designed coil! So easy to rewick or recoil...I like it!
You'd have to choke down on the air flow control a bit for Tootle Puffing, and if you like a warm vape boost the temp. to around 520F, otherwise with the air flow wide open and lower temp., it is a cool airy lung hit with slightly muted flavor. Choked the air down and boost the temp. and Wow, lots of great flavor! I wouldn't do anything lower than a 70/30 VG/PG without adjusting the juice control though. It is nice that it has that!

Ahh, The Whole Limitation of the Coil Thang! Tried to get a discussion on that a while back. I always wondered why HOH would limit themselves utilizing the Nautilus Coil? Sure it's a Great Coil for what it is I've got three Tanks with the Coils but How Much More could they have done or gone for if they had stepped up Utilizing the Atlantis? That's why for up and above the Airs Eleaf offers the Lil Sisters Melo 3.5ml, Melo 2 4.5ml & Big Sis iJust 2 5.5ml all of which are Aspire Atlantis Coil Compatible if You Need or Want Larger Tanks You Can!

I like the size of the GS-Tank, M & MS! The MS is Awesome on your Tiny Mods!

.75 Coils do Pretty Well! Personally I like em more then the 1.5's and there seems to be a following if be it small but growing love for them!

I'm with the understanding that the rebuilt 1.5s out-vape all of the stock heads.

I don't think that most users would enjoy a GS with greater than 3ml capacity as it reduces liquid feed (vacuum thing). This is why Zen has limited his $90 HoH Kaubuki to 3ml. I'll give up a bit of capacity for overall better performance any day. That being said, I'm vaping primarily unflavored nowadays (while out-and-about), so most tanks work well for me.

I was sorely tempted to throw my hat over the fence and try them out...but I got control of myself in time!:D
It's just such a cool design that takes most of the simpler issues and addresses them for recoilers like myself .
I've had several RTA's and RBA's and they all suck to one degree or another. The attraction is also what I love
about recoiling the GS Airs, pull a coil and put a new one in. No having to break the tank down completely and
recoil or rewick. I prefer the grommet and pin system to the screws on the building deck. Yes, I'm a luddite!
And TC is still not in my future...for now. :D

I think that may be some sort of record? You are scary frugal!
Those little .75 just go on and on. I go thru about 10 ml a day in the gs tank.
Vaping straight battery voltage in an Istick Basic. Great little pocket vape.

That was the surprising feature of the original 1.5 ohm coils, they lasted forever.
Folks were reporting weeks and weeks of use, but I don't think I ever heard of one going
more than two months. I really can't say I change my recoils due to lack of performance,
just get a wild hair and decide to change the coil. A recoil lasts me a week.

Zen started his R&D on the Kabuki long before the Atlantis was announced. The Kabuki was in vapers' hands for testing when the Atlantis hit the market. He had far too much invested in the design to change mid-stream. :-\ The Kabuki would have looked very different if it had been designed around the Atlantis/Triton heads.

My son used one over 2 months. I put it in on Thanksgiving Day and just changed it about a week or so ago. Not even dry burning could save that coil. I rebuilt it from the ground up! Lol
That was the original dual coil 1.5 or one of your recoils?
Afraid to ask, but what did it look like inside?

I'm a chain vaper and forgetful to boot! With kanthal coils, I sometimes don't notice the tank is getting empty and a dry hit of burnt cotton tastes really nasty, It also means I have to rebuild that coil, as that taste doesn't go away! In TC mode with Nickel or Titanium coils, I can get away with it, as it won't let the coil get hot enough to burn the cotton, just refill the tank and get back to vaping! The ONLY reason I have kanthal wire is I am too cheap to toss the iStick 20W, which doesn't do TC!
