I don't think this setup would satisfy my mod whomping at all. Even though I still use my GS tanks I'm finding that I use my 40W istick more than the 30W's I have. With the 40, I can throw an STM running a Ni or Ti coil on it at 400 degrees or a .7 or.8 Kanthal coil and run it up to 30-35W. I would like to try the .75 coils though.

I tried a 1.5 ciol in the GS-Air 2 14 mm. Nice mtl vape. Like the .75 better so only used the 1.5 for a few days. Took it out and put in small ziplock for future.

On noise. Hissed about like a Sub Tank mini. Not silent.
Thank you! I figured the only difference might be air flow, but you never know on an unregulated mod how the 1.5's might do.
How's the battery life?

Just tried the 1.5 again. Was still in a tank. Noticibly more restrictive and a bit quieter.
Is that due to the 1.5 or the tank? Does the .75 have a larger hole for air flow through the coil?
I know, I'm just full of questions.

The 1.5 has a smaller hole somewhere in it. Tank is the same model just a different tank. All I have are the 14mm air2's. The 1.5 is quite a bit quieter than the .75. The .75 is about like a STM with a small driptip in it using the RBA, which is all I use in the STM's.

All day on a charge for me I usually use it for 4 tanks a day. Can get more than that though. Only 2ml in the little 14 mm tank. I use it from when I get up, 45 min each way to work, and chain vape during lunch then on the way home. Usually use STM's when at my desk at home.
I keep 6mg in the Istick Basic tanks for a nic boost and then vape 3 mg in my STM's at 12 watts.

I start the day with a GS Air M, fill about halfway through the day and it lasts me until late evening.
I was kinda looking for something a bit quieter at work as the woman in the office next to me thought
I was snoring when I was vaping... She didn't care about me vaping in my office, but didn't like the idea of me cat napping.
They don't restrict vaping, just what you can bring to work. No mods that require removable batteries, no charging cords and
no extra tanks nor mods. I bring extra juice in once a month to keep in my desk.

You are a lucky duck!
No vaping or smoking on company property. I park at the far side of the lot and vape in my car at lunch.
If they get that picky it is time to find a better job.

what coil do you use in the M?

The Istick basic has a 2300 mah battery so figure your vaping time based on that.
imho the 1.5 coils are for either a just quit smoker or a confirmed mtl vaper.
Nice but not open enough for me at this time. Good vapor production and flavor though and when I first started vaping I would have loved them.

I have to sneak a few puffs in the restroom stall. It's surprisingly quiet in there at times and there's a lot of echo due to hard smooth surfaces. My Ego One with a 1 ohm CLR coil makes a fairly loud wooshing sound and it makes me wonder if anyone can hear it.

They haven't issued any policy about vaping but I imagine, if/when they do, it'll be inline with their smoking policy.

I don't want to bring it up because the less they know the better.

what coil do you use in the M?

I use a recoiled 1.5 coil with kanthal and rayon, very satisfied with it as I am a confirmed tootle puffer and tend to
vape like a pipe smoker.
I am very lucky! I feel for you folks feeling the pressure. :(

I was in the restroom stall vaping and someone came in, as they were at the urinal I heard them say, "Something smells good! they must have lunch ready."

I am pretty much ok with vaping. I do not have the urgency to vape as I did with smoking and can go a full shift without vaping if needed and not want to kill anyone;)
I do 1.2 ohm coils in my STM's at 12 watts. Nice vape.

I recoil everything except my GS coils. Only one of those need it so far :)
I use the RBA deck in my STM's and recoil Kanger coils for my modified T3S's.
I use cotton though. gotta get some of that non woven gauze from the dollar tree.
Might try some bamboo diaper liner too?

I've heard about the bamboo diaper liner, but I have switched to 325 stainless steel mesh and it works perfectly.
So no more gauze or diaper liners for me. I bought 5, 3" X 3" squares off Fleabay for $5 with free shipping and have
only used half a square for 20 or so coils. When I UC the coils after taking them apart, the mesh stays in the cap and
makes it easier to reinstall without mucking about with the gauze liner. So I won't be forsaking my Air coils for the
foreseeable future.
Oh yeah, STM?

SubTank Mini... Have any of your coil heads worn out? Trying to gauge how long they last through rebuilds.

Should have guessed...:facepalm::lol:
I had a STM and gave it away. Had one and didn't know what they call it.

As for the heads wearing out, I have had one cap that was a little loose from repeated removing and replacing.
I simply bent it a bit where it compresses on the base and problem fixed. I have silicone replacement grommets
and o rings for the bottom in case they start to wear. The coils are lasting as well or better than the Mini Protank
II coils I used to rebuild. Oh yes, I have thrown two coil bases away that the u shaped cut out was at an angle.
How they did that, I have no idea. :?:

Where did you get your Orings and grommets?

@solace.discord tracked them down on FT, I think the links are in the blog. My biggest fear was that those would be the parts to fail
first and once you're out, you're out.
I still have to track down the washers on top of the caps. I seem to lose those. But I don't have a micrometer to measure them to
be able to find them in the correct size.
