That bites!!!Morning everyone. Broke my first tank this week. I just couldn't understand why it flooded after every little puff. Then I noticed the gaping hole and pooling juice in my hand. Ewwwww
I hope everyone has a fine Saturday day!!
IMO the best way to be sure your coils are fine is to make them yourself.
The GS double coil is easily rebuildable as a single and works fine like that. Makes it no concern at all how long a coil lasts.

also, what wattage do you guys typically use with these 1.5ohm coils?
I just cranked the wattage, which appears to have helped, but the vapor is weak, nothing like when i first put the coil in a few days ago. But absolutely no burnt taste whatsoever.
Makes me think the coil is possibly done, yet I've only vaped maybe 6ml's of juice with it.
I guess maybe i just need to put in a new coil...

The good news: Most of the 1.5 ohms coils last for a week, or two, or more.
The bad news: a few seem to die quickly. Symptoms include oversaturated wicks and liners, thus gurgle gurgle and even spit.
What do I do when this begins?
1- take off drip tip, blow through it onto a tissue.
2- remove tank, blow through it onto a tissue to clear chimney.
3- Remove coil, blow through bottom onto tissue to clear excess juice.
4- reassemble, then vape at higher watts, with tank below mod, to burn off remaining excess juice.
This helps, some, but whatever causes the oversaturation seems to be terminal.
My sweet spot for these coils is around 8.4 watts with clear or light 50/50 juice.
Rather than suffering the frustration, just try a new coil.![]()
Hope your good efforts get you a week of happy vaping from that coil.
One other thing... When you remove the misbehaving coil, check the tank base - afc for juice, and force a tissue into the base to remove any that might have accumulated there. You mentioned that you are using the M, my favorite among the four versions.
This last step is especially important with the GS-Tank, my second favorite, because the bottom of the tank is sealed, and the juice has no place to go.
Also check the firing pin of your mod and dry it if necessary.
I didn't know you could rebuild these, I'll look into that
