I just found out tonight that I am going to be a grandma once again. If all goes well, grandchild #2 will be here next May or June.

Thanks Nanny! I am used to being a grandma now, so the whole idea of it isn't such a shock like the last time. The first time was my then 18 year old daughter and I kept saying I'm not old enough to be a grandma. This time it's my 26 year old son and reality has set in. My arthritis tells me that I am definitely old enough to be a grandma!

First time I've gotten a toothbrush and q tips and cleaned the pieces Good. Screw that. Tell me how You do it.

Been there, done that, hated it!

I disassemble the coil, place all components into the cut off bottom of a water bottle filled with water.
Run it for 5 minutes or so...
Somewhat like this:

I use this to clean the razors I'm rehabbing also:

The reason is, it is easy to remove the water bottle bottom and rinse the parts than it is to empty the water out of the container.
Repeat this until you are satisfied the parts are clean enough.
If you do use the container, you can remove the basket in order to let the UC be more effective.

Any thin, clear container made of plastic will work for this. I have also used a beaker as pictured above!

I use one of these to strain the parts through, a stainless steel sink strainer. It's very cheap to get just about anywhere and easier to use
than a kitchen strainer.

I'm cheap and lazy, but sometimes a couple of bucks can save some grief!
DO NOT USE ANY SOAP OR ADDITIVES! It's just not needed and will add to your rinsing grief!
I just dump them out into a paper towel after straining and let air dry.
I'm sure some other folks will be along with some great tips too!

I just dump the parts into the basket, run for a few cycles, take the basket out, let it drain, then dry on paper towels.

Have you tried Kanger's new cotton coils? If you like your Kanger tanks and your only issue is flavor, give them a try. I didn't mind the flavor of the old coils--I don't mind silica wicks--but some people say that the new OC coils taste better. Kanger makes several kinds, so make sure that you get the right coil for your tank.

That sounds like a good idea too. I didn't know they had them. I did order the GS Air but would also love to get use out of the Kangers, since they are just sitting in the closet....getting no lovin.
