I like being able to change out the battery. If I'm at work I have no place to charge a battery. With the Pico and other changeable battery mods, I put a fully charged set in a case and put the case in my pocket. I don't always remember to check the charge on my isticks and have rushed out with a 30W that only has a quarter of a charge on it. Makes for a stressful day.

so I got the 521 tab and I’ll say – it’s darn nice

comes packaged and one might think it came from kanger
very nice, stylish boxing – down right glamorous
upload_2016-4-4_20-15-27.png

from what I seen previously (youtube) they’ve made some changes…

•the labeling for the ‘switch’ was UNDER the lid (not any more)
•it had a ‘pipe’ icon when you pushed the fire to vape button ? (it’s gone)
•I guess they changed the display from OLED to LED ?
•seems every y-tuber complained it slid around due to the hard plastic feet;
mine has 4 nice small rubber gripper feet dots
upload_2016-4-4_20-16-20.png

it is a nice stable stand and makes it so you don’t have to keep
screwin-n-unscrewin between devices

it runs on one 18650

is it something you HAVE TO HAVE to vape - Nope
but it sure makes it a lil bit sweeter...

maybe a little hardcore :w00t:

I'll never use the accessories (very much doubt it)

but strip a tank, rinse coil/deck
screw on '521' , yank wick out ;
dry fire the gunk off wire (clean)
test/sample Ω
heat and tweak coil wire (if needed)
cram some wicking in, fill with eJuice and even vape it (on 521) to break in

still trying to hold my mouth just right when I'm doing it
it's new to me, so will have to get used to the feel of it...

ps: vapin' the evicVT (5000mah) and the Pico
like driving to work in a Greyhound, then home in a Smart car...

Hi, GS fans.

I'm in need of a bit of advice. I'm setting up a friend with her first real vape gear (after cheapo ego's). She is not tech, not online, but an older (65y or so) pack a day. She tried some of my mods, and we settled on an evic-VT, cause it's got lots of mAh capacity, no removable bat to fuss with, and will be fairly easy for her.

But now the tanks. She did not like my sub ohm tank, but liked the mini nautilus and the Beyond Silo lite (uses aspire bvc coils).

I was considering either of the above, but I remembered my old friend Javamon and his love of this GS air.

So, which GS air should I get her? The regular standard one? And where in the US is a good place/price?

Thanks, friends.

DaveOno,
In my highly opinionated opinion, based on a year using 4 GS Air models, and liking all four, get her the GS Tank and a couple boxes of 1.5 ohm dual coils.

My own favorite is the M, but it's a little harder to fill. The Tank come with a tc coil installed. Put it aside and go with the 1.5.

Rocky Mountain Vapor and Sweet-vapes are both reliable, trusted sources.

Thanks for the replies!

@pufZeppelin that mod is too small at 1600 mAh, the evic is 5,000 mAh. She wants something that will go a while between charges. And I found it on clearance for under $30.

@GranFumador , your opinionated opinion? As opposed to your non-opinionated opinion? lol
But after looking around, I think the GS tank is the way to go. At 3ml, it'll last her a while.

I'll let y'all know how she does.

Thanks!!!!!

:)

don't forget to take into account, the evicVT is like holding a 5lb dumbbell (then add a 3ml glass/SS tank)

jus-a-thought

good luck !

I'm late to the party as usual! If you hadn't already got the Evic VT, I'd have said get the Evic VT Mini, since it can be updated through the USB port, where the old VT can't! I have the Evic VT myself, and it works very well and with a Kanthal coil that is not Sub-Ohm, it last just about forever! I also have the GS-Tank and it should do the trick also! With that setup she should be good to go and not have to worry about much of anything, other than what ejuice she wants to use in it!If she decides that she wants to learn more, like how to rebuild her coils and such, there are many here that would love to help out!

IMO get the GS-Tank w/ 1.5 ohm coils.

The tank is easier to fill than the GS-Air M. Even with needle nose dropper bottles I can sometimes get juice down the chimney and all over my hand and desk. The Nautilus is very finicky when it comes to re-attaching and tightening the base. If you don't tighten enough it will leak. Tighten too much and you need pliers to get it off.

The 1.5 coils are resilient. I get lazy/distracted once in a while and don't draw hard enough and wind up getting the coil too hot. The 1.5 is not cotton and can recover form this. The Nautilus coils are now all cotton and would be ruined after this happened once.

iStick 30W for the mod. Cheap and reliable and was made for the GS-Tank.

I wiped out Mount Vapor's inventory on the tank. I got her 2, and picked up an "M" for myself. My Halo reactor tank (rebranded Starre, iirc) is tough to fill, so it won't throw me.

And I agree about the naughty mini. Although I've never had a leak, I have used pliers!

Oh, and I picked up 2 packs of 1.5 coils. And they currently have a code for 25% off site-wide!!!

So, removing the price of my tank and coils, she is getting the evic, 2 GS tanks and a 5pack of coils, delivered, for... $61.

Thanks again, friends. I'll update y'all with her success.

As long as it gets her off the Stink Sticks, it will be worth it! Only thing left is to find her an ejuice she can use as an All Day Vape! One thing to look at is Vape Moar | Big Bottles. Small Prices. Happy Vapers You can get all 10 of their flavors in 15ML bottles for $20, so 150ML for $20 with free shipping! Should be at least one in the bunch that she will really like, and their 120ML bottles of juice are $20, also free shipping and get a dripper top to go with it for another buck!

I've been a fan of vapemoar for a few months until finally getting some decent results from my DIY. Another you might consider is OasisVape. Never got around to trying them myself but they do offer comparable pricing, more flavor selection, vg/pg selection, and more nic level selections than VapeMoar.
Don't get me wrong. VapeMoar is great but If I ever order online again I'll be checking out OasisVape.

Not sure if anyone's interested in this, but I'll post it anyway.
IMRs and I put our heads together and came up with this idea to store our tanks and drip tips.
Bought a $4 .380/9mm ammunition holder and a 10/12 gauge shell storage box to store our stuff.
case 1.jpg

Here are the Shotgun shell sizes...
10 Gauge (19.7 mm)
12 Gauge (18.5 mm)
16 Gauge (16.8 mm)
20 Gauge (15.6 mm)
28 Gauge (14.0 mm)
The largest tank I put in the box was the GS Air Tank TC which is second from the left in the front row.
The spaces have ribs on all four walls as you can see in the picture, I'll trim those out with a chisel to accommodate the TC tank a little better.
