I took a block of scrap 2 X 4 and screwed an old ego top to it. I then use an old T3 base to hold the Air coils for wicking and removing the cap.
I think most folks just use one of their mods instead of the 2 X 4. The video from IMRs in the blog shows removing the cap using a Evod as the base.

Wicking is when I need a stable base. You can use a mod as the base and the Air base to rewick, it's just easier for me.
The caps are easier to remove after the initial take apart. If a cap gets too loose to really hold, I merely press the opening of
the cap in a bit with pliers and that fixes the problem.

I have refined the art of unintentionally insulting folks.
Perhaps the result of poor upbringing, yeah that's it, I'll blame it on my parents!
