I believe you are the record holder for coil longevity!
I too enjoy home-brew juice, 100% VG except for the flavorings.
Yep. I do believe you're correct, sir. I had my first 1.5 ohm coil last about that long, but I wasn't using the MS tank exclusively.... and the coil probably shouldn't have lasted that long. Performance during that last week was really subpar.

Incidentally, one of the new cotton coils I installed on day one is still in use and chugging along (the one I didn't deliberately put through the godawful stress test that my twisted mind developed). It's just completed two weeks of use. Keep in mind that I don't just use this tank. I swap between three different setups. I use the GS Air MS with an iStick Mini at work and hit it at 20 watts. I estimate that it gets about a third of my vaping use. That said, I'm a pretty heavy vaper and usually go through about 15 to 20 ml of juice a day. At those rates, I've put between 70 and 90 ml of juice through this coil.

It still vapes well, but flavor has dropped off VERY slightly. Air flow and vapor production have diminished, too. They're more noticeable than the flavor reduction. If I had to quantify it, I'd say flavor is at 90% of what it was on day one and that airflow and vapor production are at about 75%. Still good. I imagine it has about another week of use in it before it's time to gut it and put it in my rebuild bin. Not bad... it'll end up going through something like 100-150ml of juice. For a vaper who doesn't consume VG at the insane rates that I do, this is proabaly about a month of exclusive use. Not too shabby for under $2... less shabby after I rebuild them.

While Sweet-Vapes is my preferred vendor, hardware is commodity, so if service reputation is ok, I sometimes buy elsewhere. For the istick 30, try Mount Baker Vapor. Net of their usual ten percent off coupons (shoot me a pm if you need one), the full kit thirty is just a bit over $30. They just stock silver and black. Or do what I haven't done yet, because I have my four 30s, and pick up a tc 40. They are around for just a few bucks more than the 30 I believe. Or... join me in awaiting shipment and reviews for the Heatvape Defender 50, with a replaceable battery. That will cost more than the 30, but... Tibs says the lower wattage Defenders are good, and she's expert on most things not involving rhubarb.

not that much more ;)
I'm also waiting for reviews on the Heatvape Defender 50. A few of these will likely be my next purchase IF the reviews are good.
I've been on a buying freeze for a while now, and my trigger finger is getting quite itchy!

Yes, I think these coils are just about the best value of any tank around when you consider how long they last - even if you don't rebuild them. Back when I was using a T3S all the time, 4 or 5 days was good for me. They were cheaper coils to buy, but not really when you considered how long they lasted. Plus I always got a bunch of duds. I started rebuilding those pretty quick. But these GS Airs are just so much better and more cost effective.

I just ordered that Heatvape Defender 50 a few days ago. It's coming from China, though, so it will probably be a couple of weeks before I see it. I'll let you know how I like it.

Great, Linda! I appreciate that.
What color did you get?
Will this be your first mod with replaceable batteries?

Sounds good to me!
How long ya figger we will have to wait to start hearing reviews?? I'm not getting any younger....
Me neither. Yesterday all the progeny called to wish me a happy decline. Not to be outdone, Her Royal Britannic Majesty what I are wedded to gave me a tiny facsimile edition of a Brit. book published in 1913, aptly titled, Don'ts for Husbands, by one Blanche Ebbutt. I feigned gratitude and severe amusement.

Having learned enough about Gear Beast to give them a pass on the Defender 50, I just wrote to Sweet-Vapes, asking if and when they might stock it, and approx. price. Also found a Chinese site called 3avape.com that has them for $49, and free shping. Has anyone done business with them?

Nanny, I got blue since I don't have any other mods that color (and it's my favorite color, so not sure why I've never gotten it before. :D )

It's not my first replaceable battery mod. That's all I've been buying lately, as I'm getting more and more concerned about what the gubmint idiots are going to do to vaping. I figure a replaceable battery mod will last a lot longer than something like an istick, which will basically be dead when the battery dies. So as things go on sale, I've been stashing away some basic, inexpensive mods in my vapocalypse kit. :D

Gran, 3avape is where I ordered mine from. I found a couple of threads where people said they had used them before, so I decided to take a chance since I really want this mod as soon as possible. The other Defenders didn't seem to get stocked at a lot of US based sites, so I'm not sure this one will be either.

Thank you, Linda. I look forward to your review.
