These look like nice devices. The Pico family is growing. But I'm going to pass. I have no plans to use any atomizer larger than what the standard pico will handle and I strictly use temp control. I have a mega for the rare occasions when I need more endurance and for a day at home. Otherwise the original Pico remains my favorite mod. I haven't seen anything else that's tempting. BTW there is a new Arctic Fox firmware release. I'm running it on several devices including may everyday Pico. There are some revisions compared to the earlier release but there is no reason to hurry to upgrade. If anyone is curious, Joyetech's new ProC coils in the ProCore Aries are compatible/swappable with Eleaf's new HW coils in the ELLO and ELLO Mini.
Joyetech's ProC1 is a more airy draw than the HW1 & HW2. I personally much prefer the flavor of these new Joyetech coils as well so now I know I can get some use out of the iKonn I bought, especially since I like the ProC1 most at 50w and that's exactly what the iKonn is supplying on a fresh battery.

The iKonn isn't a Pico I know, but this means I'll be grabbing the new iStick Pico 25 with ELLO since I really dig the ProC1....

And my favorite is the all black. II wish they would do an all black mega. The more recent designs are very nice but don't do anything I need.I too am content with the Pico 75W. I love the size, shape, low center of gravity and that it is cheapI do wish they would do a face lift with a larger screen and throw a little chrome on the cheap zinc alloy. It must be my sweaty hand but parts turn BLACK in two weeks. Fairly easy to polish it up it unnecessary. Why they didn't stay with the chrome like the Istick 30&40W is beyond me.
I always use a silicone sleeve so most of the paint is protected. The paint that is exxposed is perfect so far. I like all black because it is understated and stealthy.sofar- how does the black finish on the zinc hold up ? Chips and scratches ? Chrome is so tuff it just makes sense to me. I will admit that I like the all black look------
my focus this year was to buy as little as possible,, so far i have 'stuck to that plan'......until todayUpdates on my Pico's (i still have 3, sold 1, lost 1, broke 1)
First one i got, somewhere in april last year, had a slanted body and that weird Wattage drop that wasn't resolved by any FW update, sold it for close to nothing.
I lost the second one with a Subtank on it, probably in one of the pubs i attended that night.
The third one just died on me overnight, disassembled it but the board was completely dead. Did keep the batterycap, body, screen and buttons however, as spares. It had worked for three months.
Fourth one is still going strong but severely battered and brused. Close to no finish on it left. Screen is almost unreadable due to scratches. Will build a frankenpico from this one and my previous one sometime soon.
But still, i like those Pico's so much that i ordered two spare ones. With my use (and i use several other mods aswell) they would last an average six months, would be my estimation. That's like 10 cents per day, seems fair.
I don't feel the same about my Cuboid and RX200 that both broke too last year. Both lousy 510-connectors. Kept their boards to build new mods, some day ever.
all i care about is 'does it work as well',, understand my concern is how many i would use up in a year. or if i need to supply my husband who will ,,,, he will,, did i mention he will drop a few, lose a few and give a few away.............did i mention my husband's tendencies? he is alive today because i make sure to screw his head back on when he wakes up@kross8 Yes i've seen those clones but, for a few dollars more... unless of course they'd be clones with way better finish than the authentics.
Are you hard on your devices? Multiple problems hints at that. I damaged the USB port on my fiirst Pico wiith repeated use of a defective cable. I'll take the blame for that one. My experience so far gives me confidence that 2 years, on average is realistic.all i care about is 'does it work as well',, understand my concern is how many i would use up in a year. or if i need to supply my husband who will ,,,, he will,, did i mention he will drop a few, lose a few and give a few away.............did i mention my husband's tendencies? he is alive today because i make sure to screw his head back on when he wakes up
(dont worry,, it's a joke we have........seriously,, who is he fighting with in his sleep that every sheet that is strapped down ends up wrapped around him like he is the burrito? on top of his incredibly clumbsy self!)
i dont think i am hard on them,, i dont drop them ever. i just use the heck out of them. many people seem to vape 5 to 15 mls a day,, i vape at least 30 and far more is not unusual. Are you hard on your devices? I'm not even a little bit tempted by the knockoff Pico. I have no problem buying clone rda's but I'll stick with mods made by companies with valuable brand reputations to protect.
i dont bother with firmware updates,,i keep it simple 25 to 29 watts with .35+/-Ω kanthal a1For only a couple of dollars more, @kross8 , I'd buy an Authentic. The ArcticVox software is great and can be installed on the Authentic, but you don't know what firmware or board is in the clone. Not worth the couple of dollars saved. Picos are my daily drivers and have NEVER failed. I have all of them in skins, too, so they look like new.
And I vape about 5-6 ml per day. Still I'm pressing the fire button 100's of times a day at half your watts. How many clicks is the limit? My estimate is a decent mod should tolerate 2 years of continuous service but I could be wrong. My stockpile plan assumes a 1 year life. I'm planning for 10 years, hoping for 20.i dont think i am hard on them,, i dont drop them ever. i just use the heck out of them. many people seem to vape 5 to 15 mls a day,, i vape at least 30 and far more is not unusual.
i have yet to dull the paint or get a scratch.
at your 6mls a day i am using my mod 500% (or x's 5) of your daily clicks.. i dont think watts matter in this case because my boards are still working. 1 power button is 'stuck' on pico A but not on pico B.And I vape about 5-6 ml per day.
