One of the things I was curious about, my mods rest on one or two fingers supporting it at the bottom when in use.
Sounds like the adjustment switch's are unobtrusive and not a problem.
Not at all! I have arthritis in both hands, so having at least one finger under gives me extra stability. The buttons are actually recessed a bit, so you have to deliberately adjust, no accidentals .

I plugged USB into each of mine to be sure they worked, but an external charger is my choice of attack...
would only use on-board usb when necessary

Not at all. My pinky sits there and I can't tell they're there. Love the clean look by putting them on the bottom and adjusting when needed is no issue at all.

I've been following the thread for a bit and now that folks are getting them, how do you users like the adjustments on the bottom of the mod?

Yeah, the 3 main cosmetic differences are the side charging port, the bottom buttons, and the shorter but fatter form factor.

I actually don't like the side charge port because I use passthrough a lot and I think it would get in the way, but I haven't really tried it yet. The 40w battery life was so bad that I'd have it on a charger constantly.

The bottom buttons are different but I don't think I mind too much. Most of us set a certain wattage/temp, then lock it right? It may be slightly harder for me to change settings while I'm driving, but I don't do that very often anyways. I'd just wait until a traffic light.

So are the bottom buttons a showstopper? Absolutely not. What I do notice is that instead of pushing the fire button with my thumb now, I use the ridge in between my finger. Just different that's all. Normally I'm change averse, but these are really only small details.

I just ordered an EHPro Kayfun 4 clone to try out. I was scared originally because of all the pieces, but I don't have to take apart the whole thing every time. Accessing the build deck without having to drain it will be more convenient.

I've been looking for a tiny bit more air flow. I tried a subtank and a melo, but the flavor just isn't there. This Kayfun 4 supposedly has a little more airflow without sacrificing the flavor.

That's gonna be my last vape purchase for a bit.

Edit: I canceled my Kayfun 4 order. I like EHPro a lot because they did my KFL+v2 so well, but the Kayfun 4 isn't reviewed very well.

Also, Rocky Mountain Vapor had it for $1 cheaper than the ebay seller, and I wanted to keep the business with them if I ordered one.

The Tobeco version is a couple of dollars cheaper, but I saw someone on this forum post a picture of theirs that had rust building on it. Rust? I dunno if I want to chance that.

Apparently the flavor is about the same, but it's more convenient because you can pull the deck out without disassembling the whole thing. Also, you can adjust the air flow to be more open, but it's hidden under the 510 pin.

Got my grey Pico in from Rocky Mountain today. The menu system is fantastic. It's great that we're able to go forward and backward through the menu. Makes it super fast. The 4-click access for the wattage adjustment makes changing watts in temp mode a cinch. The screen is small but crazy bright. I'm just putting it through it's paces now, but so far I'm loving it. It's hard to believe that it's possible to make such a small 18650 mod.

Geez so you're telling me if I you had a 18650 in your pocket with some loose change it could go pooof! and cause severe injury to someones leg?
YES.....never never never never put a lithium battery where it can come into contact with loose metal bits and risk dead shorting....EVAR!

This is a bit irritating. As I said earlier, I had used my pico for like 0.5 ml of liquid and the battery dipped a lil bit, so I put it back on the charger.

Going on an hour now of charging. I'm going to be pretty annoyed if it doesn't shut off soon.

It just shut off. 1 hour and 20 mins approximately.
many chargers (don't know about this one, but assume so based on peoples experience) slow down to a trickle charge at the tail end of the charge cycle...around 4.1 volts or so

took a little getting used to for me, BUT, they work well, and are placed in a way that the buttons aren't accidentally pressed, yet not so recessed as to be hard to use....over all a good basic design.

I reordered the Kayfun 4 from Rocky Mountain Vapor. Saved $1 compared to the ebay guy, and I kept the business with my favorite vendor. I have a tendency to overthink and research stuff for days. Just buy the thing already.

I've been pretty satisfied with my Pico today. I wish my juice was a little more steeped, but that's not the pico's fault.

my two chargers with digital displays shows a SLOW Ramp-Up (250mA-350mA) ,
then full power charge, then VARIOUS mA (ramp down) at the end of charge (all over the map)

words to ponder:
during those times in life when a person might have some IDLE TIME
•when I was younger to kill time, I pounded beers, smoked cigarettes and watched the grass grow...
•mid life I sipped whiskey/drank beer, smoked cigarettes and watched the paint dry...
•now as a mature adult I drink sweet tea, vape electronically, and watch batteries charge...
