Another question! I have batteries already that I use with my REOs and was wondering if the Pico can use the button top batteries or do they have to be flat top?
Chili, I think they have to be flat top but I'm not positive. Hopefully, someone else with more knowledge than I have will come along and give you a more definitive answer.

Pico's battery cap up top means button top batteries will be okay. The battery cap may not screw down all the way, but that will just be a visual thing, no effect on function.

The Melo 3 looks interesting but I am already buying 4 different coils for four different tanks! Adding another just seems like overkill! I think I will buy the simple kit and use the tanks I already have!
I am also concerned with the 510 threading. I now have three ISticks that still have battery life but they are so stripped I can't put a tank on them anymore! Granted they are all iStick 20w but I would like to know that the Pico has a great 510!
I also have 4 sizes of batteries of which non are flat tops! Which means also buying new batteries! That 510 connection is really important at this point!
Does anyone know if it is SS?

Not 5.5mm, but 10mm, yes, and it would still be 10mm shorter than Evic VTC. :thumb:

Ops Sorry I was just going by the description: With an emphasis on creating one of the most ergonomic and well balanced chassis designs to date, the Eleaf iStick Pico features a top loaded battery cap that allows the fitment of 18650 batteries, with the cap extending one half of the overall height by 5.5mm.

Stripped threading was a known issue on the iStick 20w....because they weren't using stainless steel on those. The threading on the pico will stand up far better.

Stainless is not an ideal material for threaded parts, it doesn't have the best abrasion resistance, but another issue is when the female threading might be a tiny bit oversized so that the threaded parts aren't making full contact. I've seem this on several mods. When the threads are only partially in contact wear will increase dramatically. This mistake shouldn't happen. There is a QC issue when it does.

eLeaf will probably lose some sales because they couldn't bear to add half a mm to the overall size. It's still looking like a brilliant form factor.

And come on folks. If you just got one and are vaping it show a picture of your setup. Make us jealous.

So I mentioned that I was double charged and sent two picos because my CC got declined and I resubmitted and both were somehow processed. Dave at RMV said I could send it back for a refund, but I decided to check to see if a friend wanted it.

He had been using the iStick 40w. He cranked the pico up to 45w with his Aspire Triton and liked the vape so he decided to take it off my hands.

However, he has the same problem as Skyboxer. The Triton works on the Pico, but his air adjustment ring will not turn with the tank on the battery. He doesn't think it's a big deal because it's more of a set and forget kind of thing that you don't really change on the fly, but it's something to note. The tank is too close to the battery cap to allow the ring to move while it's on there.

The Triton is a 22mm tank. It may actually be a Triton 2, which is 22.5mm. Could be the problem.

Edit: It's a Triton 1, which is 22mm. I know because we tried to take it apart last night to clean, and it wouldn't completely disassemble. The Triton 2 may not work at all.
Here is my Triton 2 on my Pico. It's a tight fit, but it works.

I ended up putting heat sinks on all of my isticks so I could still use them because of threads stripping, they might help yours to make them usable again. And I am with you on streamlining coils and batteries, it gets ridiculous and expensive buying multiple types.

Dumb question but whats a heat sink?
Thanks

That will depend upon the grade of steel used.

My friends Triton tank fits on it fine as well. It's the adjustable airflow ring that he can't turn while on the mod because it rubs against the battery cap.

I don't really think the battery cap is aesthetically pleasing, but I don't mind it too much. Like I said, it's a good resting spot for my finger so I don't accidently cover up one of the holes on my tank.

I don't plan on ever taking that battery out again, so having the cap accessible isn't a concern.

I imagine that Eleaf Melo 3 mini should fit fine because it's only a 2 ml tank, and it comes in the kit of course.

I actually charged my battery last night when it was about half full. It's one of my obsessive tendencies. Once I have less than half the battery left in anything, I'm looking for a charger. I'm pretty sure it would have lasted an entire 2 days or more if I wanted to use it until it died.

I am so tempted to sell one of my REOs so I can get four Picos!
My reply isn't a guess- I went to my battery stash & put a button top in just for you. It works fine!!!
So, you don't have to buy new batteries if you dont want to.
