Eleaf iStick "pico"

I'm going to pull the trigger and purchase the full black Pico this Friday from fasttech to get me back in the game after taking a couple years off from vaping. Going to by the kit to get me started and wanted feedback on the Melo III mini tank?

I'm looking for a cool great flavor from my juice and wanted to know if this tank will come close or not? I want something easy and will just be doing pre-built coils to keep it simple. Any other tanks I should be looking at?

Also what replacement coils should I order from fasttech and what battery?

Glad to see you made it over -- I will let the others answer your questions on coils. I haven't yet tried the Melo III that came with my Pico. I am content, at the moment, with my eleaf GS Tanks and coils. I get great flavor and they work great for me. I have a dear friend who has been waiting a VERY long time for his Pico to come from Fasttech. He ordered May 1 and it JUST left China. They kept delaying and changing the shipping date on him. You may have better luck, I hope. You can get the Pico kits right here in the US for just a few dollars more at Rocky Mountain Vapor. They ship free any order over $14 and have a permanent 25% off code "President". That makes the Pico/Melo III kit $39 shipped. Apologies if this question was answered previously. I notice on FT that a Pico colored "stainless" is coming soon.
Does anyone know if that mean a stainless body? It would weight a ton but look pretty cool with accumulating stress marks.

I think somebody already asked eLeaf, and supposedly it's just brushed bare aluminium.

Supposedly anyway.

The jury's still out on the NZ Rugby Team edition (*snicker*) one though, nobody's sure if it's all painted or partly anodised black.

In China, "stainless" may mean either stainless steel or stainless steel color. This looks like the latter.

I like it too... think it looks good

eleaf seems to be pretty good about addressing any issues that arise
so if I were to ponder (on my shoe) I'd say eleaf took their coating UP a notch... (perhaps, we'll have to wait & see)

Those are called "Polished" but we don't know what's polished, and "Full black". I cannot verify, but as I understand it, right now, the full black is SS with a black coating. Now, why they would do the black in SS and not the "Polished" in SS as well, I've no clue.

Another question, Where do you like to get your ejuice from for best flavor and what mix of PG/VG do you think works best with the Pico?

This guy was instrumental in me deciding to dis- and re-assemble my own Pico lol. He made it look easy (and TBH, it is lol).

His electrical readings are fun to watch though, as he checks nearly every parameter there is to check.

Oh and the body (the painted part) is solid cast aluminium (one-piece), while the other metal parts (the top/bottom cap and the battery cover) is supposedly made out of some zinc alloy.

I ordered a grey pico and misc other stuff a few days ago and it shipped the next day. That never happens. I don't mind the wait times because FT can charge less if they don't have to inventory everything.

My guess is the stainless colored pico has a stainless body. Un coated aluminum would distress too easily and not look so good over time.. A distressed stainless body would look great to my eye but it's going to weigh a lot more. Picos are going to be the core mod in my stash. I hesitate to get a heavier one.

Given the price point, I highly doubt it is Stainless Steel... The only bit of SS on the Pico is the threads on the 510.

A brushed type of paint job on the aluminum body is my guess.

@sofarsogood, I was mistaken about the sale at 101 Vapes. It is for e juice only. I corrected it above.

As for the rebuildable kit for the Melo 3, I have an Aspire Triton RTA kit on the way. The Triton coils, including the rebuildable, work in the Melo. Eleaf also has an RTA for the Melo as does Anyvape. Some say the Anyvape kit is the best of the three, but I have no idea why. I'm getting a Triton tank, so I'm getting the Triton RTA kit (it's like $4) to build coils for it and the Melo. Hope this helps, and sorry about the confusion on the Pico sale.
