I'm a bit confused if this is a question for me, the person who posted the pic originally, or a general question? Sorry if this is a really stupid question, it's been a long day.

It was not for you, the tank in the picture looks like a Erlkonigin Mini.

Go back and look at the poster and picture that frizzy_tyger quoted

The link I posted is exactly what frizzy inquired about.

Sorry, it was the post above yours from VictorC, that lacked a description of the tank. Folks do this far too often for whatever reason.

Wait till you try the firing pefromance of a *properly sorted* YiHi chip.

That said, the new Q-class seems to be more a miss than a hit from what the guys up on the owner thread are posting, unfortunately enough.

maybe, it is also probably the multiplyer (TCR) (how the 'chip' is configured)
see if you can research what SMOK has it set values at...

then it is all a matter of a joye/eleaf/wismec board vs SMOK board...

I have an update on the Koopor Plus and Pico comparison.

After some tinkering around I worked out why the Koopor was not keeping up with the Pico.

The Koopor Plus 200watt has a feature you select in wattage mode called 'buck and boost', its basically a boosting system that has 5 settings. Min, soft, normal, hard, max. This setting had been on normal the entire time which was making the vapour calmer when both mods were set at 35 watts.

When I set the boost mode to 'hard' then it begins to perform the same as the Pico when both are at 35watts, and in max boost it certainly pulls away a little, at least in punch. So if you can imagine the Pico is in 'max' boost the entire time (hypothetically) and the Koopor Plus is just calmer output in 'normal mode' by default.

finally got around to doing my custom paint job on my pico.......
20160527_202913.jpg

I used a rubberized "plastic dip" type paint in black, with a gold metallic sparkle overlay.
I actually took the whole mod apart to do this, so that it would come out nice and even...I like things to look like it could have come from the factory that way :p

tried to get shots of the sparkle, but my camera wasn't cooperating .....

Very nice job, sir. You must have oodles of grip with the plastidip on there. I wholeheartedly approve.

Does anyone's iStick Pico change wattage by itself? My wattage changes by itself. If I set to 33 watts, for some reason 5 minutes later it changes to 32.9 watts etc...if I change batteries the wattage changes by itself too, very strange.
Yes, it happens. Apparently if resistance changes on the coil....seems to me like the voltage is staying the same, so wattage ends up changing a tad

Sent with one hand, the other is busy vaping ;)

Sorry to be a pain, I am having trouble finding this information again to pass it on to an ECF friend - can someone tell me all the different types of coils that will work with the Melo III? Thanks so much!
Obviously the melo coils :)P)
Also atlantis coils, triton coils, the cCell target coils...pretty much any coil that works in the atlantis tank

Thanks Nanny and USM !

I have been using an iStick 30 and a 40 for well over a year, and although they are both working fine, i want to buy a Pico now. I vape primarily between 10-15 watts, and trying to decide if i want to by the Pico in a kit with Melo. Any configuration where i can use the Melo for a pretty tight mtl vape, or would it be a total waste for me even though it costs about $10 when i by it with the Pico ? Thanks guys !

I'd suggest closing down the airflow on the Melo, throwing in a Triton 1.8 coil (not mini) and maybe swapping out the drip tip.

I've always called the feature on my xCube "initial hit strength" but "buck and boost" works. :D

If it hasn't changed, and you're interested in the specifics... it adjusts the wattage (even in TC) for the first two seconds by a set percentage from selected for the five levels.

-15%, -10%, 0, +10%, +15%.

That it.

Does a normal Triton coil even work in the Melo? They look HUGE.

As for the other coils, the Asipire BVC coils are the same size as the Atlantis-compatible stuff right? I wonder if I can use 'em in my CS eGrip (the normal BVC works with some mods).

Oh, and just got new Joyetech pals to accompany the Pico and my long suffering mech off a local Vape Expo:

The VTC Mini and the eGrip OLED (with CS Base) both at clearance prices. Passed off my 60W to my father to help him "restart" vaping.
