Oh, and Pico to al85? I have both. I like both. The Pico can be found for under $30 these days ($21 from Rocky Mountain vapor code TURKEY reportedly still works). The al85 is more money. The only reason I got the AL85 was for my 25 mm tanks, otherwise the Pico's are fine.

Well...my "Mental Analog Converter" just kicked in...

AL85 $31 - Pico $21 = $10 = 2 packs analogs = 2 days of ashes in my old ashtray...

Tried to order a black ont at 9am, they are -1 in stock.
Dave just emailed me back and he restocked some more Pinks and Whites. I think there may be 1 black left if you'd like to go and grab it. :) Remember to use coupon: turkey.

I have not seen one of these in this thread yet so I thought I would post a pic of the one I just picked up last week from eciggity. THE PICO RESIN.

Nice! Do you know what color that is considered to be? Blue, or red? (I guess it doesn't matter. Either way it looks great!) And it looks like you've got a Kayfun Mini V3 on there. How are you liking the Pico Resin? Does it feel much lighter? (It should be a bit lighter in weight.) Does it feel like you get a good grip on that resin surface without having to use a silicone sleeve to improve the grip, or is it still kind of slippery?

When I ordered it it was said to be Red/Orange, but it should have said Red/Blue IMO. It looks pretty good though so I did not want to cause a stink over it. I think retailers should post pics of each mod and let you pick, but i guess that would be too much trouble. It has a Kayfun V5 Mini on it with a V3 drip tip. So far I am loving it. It is lighter than the normal Pico, but not by too much, maybe 10-20 grams if I had to guess. Yes it has a good grip, but it is a strange feeling surface to hold. It feels soft but hard at the same time, kinda hard to explain. No need for silicone though IMO.

Finally someone got one! I'd like to but after experiencing the hideous finish on the Black/Bronze(Copper) I decided to wait and hear others experience with the resin finish.

That's great to hear. I've got to order one of these, but I also like the SMOK AL85 Alien Baby 85W TC Box Mod - mainly because of the very large, easy to read display. Other than that, both devices appear to be fairly similar performance-wise, or close enough anyway - at least for MTL vaping. But I really do like the look of these new resin Picos, and I think they would feel a bit better in the hand too - as well as being a smidge lighter in weight than a SMOK AL85.

My Resins are on the slow boat from EFun, as they were the only vendor at the time allowing me to choose which color I wanted. Somewhere along the way they changed that and now they don't, so I don't know if I will get the red and green colors or not.

I was looking up good options for delrin or silicone drip tips that might fit my Kayfun Mini V3s, when I randomly caught sight of an SX Mini G Class (pictured below). Holy cow, what a pretty mod! (...except for maybe one or two little things.) I love the look of the carbon fiber. About $220 though, but seeing this (and checking out its reviews/specs online) got me interested in what else is out there in high end mods that might do TC for me better than my iStick Pico 75s. (...but still in a somewhat similar, convenient size.)

Well, at least as far as mods with "high end" chip sets, that use only one replaceable/rechargeable battery, there really isn't that much out there that drew my attention. The HCigar VT75 Nano 75W TC VW APV Mod was one that did, as well as the SX Mini ML Class Box Mod, and the Vapor Shark Switchbox 75 Box Mod, though I also liked the SX Mini Q Mini (even though it is a somewhat larger than the others, two battery device). Any thoughts from the rest of you on these, or any other similar high end TC box mods you can think of that might fit the bill?

Generally the DNA 250 board is a bit better than the 75. I have both, and am really happy with both boards (also a DNA 200, which was before the 250). If you really want 1 battery only, there's the new DNA 60. Lots of features from the 250 board and works with eScribe. You can search for the ePetitie from Lost Vape.

@billybc96 The SX get great reviews for TC but I haven't bought one yet due to the price. Their yihi chips are supposedly on par with dna chips but I will probably never know at that price. I have 2 smy sdna75 mods and they give a good vape once you tweak the chip in escribe but they eat batteries due to their efficiency not being as good as the larger (and dna60) boards as @Eskie mentioned. I prefer something less fiddly so I am vaping rx200s, rx2/3 and hohm tech g2 mods currently.

same board as the pico IIRC so it should be possible but I haven't used a pico in ages as I vape 100+ watts so I don't recall the button combination to get there.

just checked the manual: 4 fire button clicks when in tc mode to allow for wattage adjustment.

Thank you. I figured the DNA 75 would be good enough for my purposes, compared to the DNA 250 - especially since DNA 250 devices tend to be larger than I need or want for MTL use. I had not heard of the DNA 60. I will have to check that out.

The DNA 60 is basically an upgrade from the DNA 40. It's the same size and can be swapped if you owned a 40 and wanted to buy a 60 board. The biggest difference is unlike the 40, the 60 is compatible with eScribe, so a lot more customization can be done.

I have a VT75, the larger version of the nano, and am very happy with it. The battery cap could be better but I charge in the mod so it doesn't matter. I also use a 26650 in it. It is larger than the nano, but the battery life with the 26650 is great. It's always a trade off of size for capacity.

There do not appear to be many DNA 60 devices out there yet. The Lost Vape EPetite DNA 60 Box Mod is one, and it looks pretty good, but it is a very square, boxy, old school looking (and probably feeling) device. I like that the side panels can be switched out, but I would prefer something more ergonomic (like the iStick Pico 75W). While searching around for DNA 60 devices, I stumbled upon the Boxer Mod V2 DNA60W. It is currently out of stock, but this device that runs on a single 26650 battery, as apparently many of the other Boxer Mod models do.

The boxer mods are 3D printed with a plastic inner body surrounded by a silicone outer shell (in a vast multitude of colors). Yeah, I know, I've heard a bad thing or two about the possible safety risks of using 3D printed mods (when it comes to what may happen during a catastrophic battery failure), but the Boxer Mods seem fairly well regarded as to their durability. They can typically be dropped without being damaged, and are also extremely light. I kind of like the idea of using a single 26500 battery too, as opposed to a single 18650 battery.

This review of a Boxer Mod 26650 75W SX350J V2 (YiHi chip) by Mike Vapes is pretty good. I don't know if the Boxer Mod V2 DNA60W is smaller than the above YiHi chipped model, but it looks like it might be a bit sleeker. These devices run about $150 to $200, which is not cheap, but a typical high end chipped box mod would be about $100 (or more) anyway. I think the Boxer Mods only have a 6 month warranty though, which is not very stellar - though admittedly some other mods don't even give you that much of a warranty. Any thoughts on these Boxer Mod devices? I'm very interested in them, as I like a reasonably small, lightweight and ergonomic device, but definitely like the idea using a higher end chipped device that gives me better vape performance.
