Welcome to the forums. You can't use a tank greater than 22mm on the Pico. You can't use it without the cap. You may need to get a smaller tank.
I actually checked my Pico and I use adapters on all my mods and my tank sits higher than the end cap. My tank fits without it (Toptank mini) but I like using adapters to save on the threads.
Or, if you insist on trying to use tanks too big for Pico 75 W, you could get the Pico 25 (25mm tanks fit and it gives you 85 watts verses 75).
I shaved off with a file a little section where the battery cap lines up with the tank and I can fit 23 mm tanks but that is my work set up its my oldest mod and by the way what a great little solid mod I bought the kit 2 years ago when it came out that was with and efest battery and that things last me still 12 hours in my feller bunched love it
Heat sink adapter is going to probably be your best solution on this one unless you want to buy another mod. Good luck.

Two problems with a heatsink, first is aesthetic, you'll have significant overhang, which may or may not bother you. Second is it can be an issue if you ever want to use temperature control as it may interfere with the function. Really for broad tank compatibility a Pico 25 is a better option. That or stick to smaller tanks.
Pico is my preferred form factor because it's not one mm bigger than I need it to be. Anything smaller would be harder to handle. As somebody mentioned there is a Pico 25 available.
