I was always curious about those elitar pipes, somehow never bought one...whats your experience of them?

Well, they aren't the greatest mods. They have this problem where, after they have had a bit of mileage put on them, will sometimes give warnings that a battery is weak even though it shows 50% charge or higher. This happens with or without AF installed however I noticed that with AF the warning only flashes briefly but will still fire. With the stock firmware it just won't fire. Funny thing is if you remove the battery for about 10 seconds it will work once you put the battery back in .

Despite that, I love my Elitars because they are the most ergonomic mod on the planet. I don't hold it as a pipe. I hold the bowl in my fist with the bowl pointed downward, and the screen facing me. The bowl totally in my fist. Kind a looks like I'm using a tube mech. Very ergonomic when used in that way because of the shape and placement of the fire button. .

I don't do TC but I have Arctic Fox installed on all mods I have that work with AF because I have recently realized that I really like preheat and most of my older mods, like the Pico 75W/25/Mega and the Elitar don't have it. I don't even feel like using any mods that don't have preheat anymore lol.

If you like preheat, im surprised you dont like temperature control...you can set the power to max or high and get your optimum vape ramp up right out the gate with no risk of overheat.

My preheats are set at around 190% of set wattage for 0.3 to 0.4s. I just like that jolt of power to kick off the drag.

I already said this to you on another thread, but I wish you could get your hands on an EHPro cold steel 100 just to see what it is about the TC that people hate. They say it hits too high or something. Not being a TC vaper it doesn't bother me, obviously. Just curious. Love the mod. There's another highly ergonomic mod.

I have ordered one, it should be shipping in a week when the minikin boost is released. Stay tuned : )

I have a bunch of Eleaf and other Articfox compatible products in service and have no complaints on their TC usefulness or performance.

I see that the testing results just echo what many of us have known all along. Some very inexpensive mods can serve up a good TC experience.

g.
Next time someone shouts you down for recommending this approach rather than a $100+ setup, hopefully you can throw some of this data back at them...those kinds of rhetoric driven responses in forums really dont help new users and just scare people off TC when they think they have to sell an arm to just have a go.

That's why I mostly buy Joyetech/eleaf/wismec stuff that support Arcticfox and Redpanda.
Just bought a VF Stout for 10€ posted and look for a cheap Joyetech Espion mod.
I own a Dna75 mod but it's way too
complicated to use Evolv software compared to Arcticfox.
Maybe you can help me, but everything I have to test that is arctic fox compatible is years old...do you know of anything new/current that is AF compatible I can test? Im not expecting anything different, just that new vapers probably want new gear, while you and I are probably quite happy to keep using something from the Releaux era.

I checked a lot (but not all) of the supported mods in the AF manual and the youngest mods I found were the Wismec Sinuous V80 and V200 mods - Jan 2019. This is according to Fasttech's listing date so technically they could be late 2018 mods.

I skipped a lot of them as I already know they are 2017 or older.

EDITED TO ADD: Actually, I just realized that their list isn't kept up to date because apparently the Rim C is a supported mod but it's not on the supported devices list. But it requires a specific firmware version. Found this out here.
The Rim C is a late 2019 mod. So it's still already a year old (long time in the vape world lol).

I've purchased most of the latest and greatest mods over the years. Most all are good, but Pico 75's just fit my hand, pocket, and vaping style. I have one that's on Arctic Fox F/W from years ago, but for my 10W MTL vaping style, a Pico is good right out of the box.

My closet backup stash has a box full of unopened Pico 75's in it that I've purchased on sale, some for $19.99 each that I snagged on sale from Fasttech.

Vapesourcing.com has Pico 75's on sale now for around $25.
