Elections Do Matter

An informed electorate is the key. A citizen NEEDS to pay attention or watch it all slip away.
This bureaucratic badgering and intrusion has got to be managed at the ballot box.
Stop voting 'fools' into office. They can and will make your life miserable !

Unfortunately, people would rather go blindly into the voting booths and vote among party lines, which is really sad at this point.

Yeah, I take my time and see how each candidate voted on issues, look into their background, see who is funding their campaign. Sometimes I fee like it's all a useless waste of time. But it's the only voice I have.

Back in 2010, we had a couple of local politicians who really needed to go. One of my clients, who is annoyingly vocal, came in to tell me she had voted.

"Well, congratulations. Whaddaya want, a medal or something? So, did you vote for X or Y to replace candidate Z?"

"Oh, I don't remember. I just hit the red button all the way down. Go me! The most rudimentary civic involvement is an excuse for insufferable self-righteousness!"

That was paraphrased. Except for the "red button" part. That, regrettably, is verbatim.
