Don't let it bother you.
I say that, but when I'm saying that I'm talking worst case complete Prohibition, "I will not be submitting to any bans."

You and I say stuff that bothers each other all the time. I understand what you are saying which is (if I understand you), "prepare for worst case, fight for best case". No problem with that! Even though sometimes we disagree, we do it agreeably.

Not nearly as many as you would think or hope. And since few ECF members actually put the CASAA banner at the bottom of their posts to help get more members, it's hard to say.
Seriously. What's more important? A quit counter or a CASAA banner?
For me it's a no-brainer, and it is my opinion that every vaper should have one.

And when I say every vaper, I mean EVERY vaper.

I think getting off the nic may be the key for me too. How is a 0% nic going to give me that throat hit that im looking for? that may be a different thread all together.
I only use 0 and 6mg and get more than enough throat hit, sometimes still too much, so I don't think it's the nic that gives the throat hit. Could be wrong, I'm only a month into this.

Ok guys and gals I've tried a few times over the past several weeks, and haven't been successful at putting up the banner, what am I doing wrong?

I have the same problem. It was explained to me in great detail......still couldn't get it to work with two banners. Oh well, I just put a little thing in with my signature with a link to CASAA.

I also tend to get on the threads that deal with the regulations and using my voice. Or any thread when it is a reasonable time to talk about it. I do not just insert the Join CASAA spiel willy-nilly. ;)

Do you really think everyone having the same banner would do anything? It would become spam that was automatically ignored.

For me the counter is more important. No counter, no keeping track of expenses. No keeping track, I either spend to much or imagine I do and I quit. If I quit vaping I no longer care about the attacks on vaping (well, I'd care but not enough to pay attention until it's too late).

I also think counters can serve to keep others vaping. More people vaping, the more available to join.

I think both are inspirational. I've been on ECF long enough to not really pay attention to the signatures anymore. I do understand that newbies read those though. They also read the words even if typed out instead of being in banner form.

If a ban comes down from the FDA, do you think it would be immediate, or a future effective date?
The FDA will propose their regulations, and then there will be a public comment period of at least 30 days.
The FDA will then supposedly consider the comments received, and sometime later they will issue their final regulations.

You know I agree with you completely, DC. But just a few months ago I had a long "battle" with zoiDman on this topic as he didn't seem to see the benefit of CASAA or expanding their membership. I've run across a few others (thankfully not too many) who feel the same way. It's just mind boggling to me.
