EM in alcohol ... recrystilizing?

Hi! I want to dissolve my EM crystals in alcohol since I hate PG.

BUT, I also like to heat-steep my DIY juices (after mixing) to drive off the alcohol from my flavorings.

If I drive out all the alcohol, will the EM recrystalize or stay in solution?

I can't say for sure since i don't use alcohol,but i would guess they should still stay dissolved since by that point,they will still be in other liquid.

According to Nude Nicotine, VG can hold up to 5% EM in solution. Most recipes I've seen use around 1% or less (a 10% solution in PG, used at 10% or less.)

I would just buy it pre-mixed. I bought the crystals and dissolved them in PG and OMG it took forever. I wore my arm out shaking the bottle several times a day for 3 days before they finally dissolved completely. The pre-mix is a lil more expensive, but you use it in such small %'s it's not cost prohibitive.

It is possible that EM might crystallize if the e-liquid gets cold if you are pushing against the maximum concentrations. Those %s probably assume room temperature. Solubility is often temperature dependent.

Did you crush the crystals and warm the PG before mixing? Not that I know if that would help, it's just what I was planning to do when I got around to buying my own EM crystals...if I even do, now.

Yup. That stuff is just barely soluble in PG I guess. I put about 5 ml of PG in the bottle, then the crystals, then topped it off with PG and shook it... and shook it... and shook it... The crystals sank straight to the bottom and kinda hardened into a rock almost immediately.
