LOL... I often do things perfectly by accident. "Sorry hun I did it correctly completely by mistake".

Figure out that EXACT prime 15 by mistake, give it to me, and I'll be your pool boy, lawn mower and foot rubber for an extended period.
I don't even care if you have ugly feet. Mama Bears has .... ugly feet and I rub them nearly every night. That right there is true love:laugh: cuz that girls feet are scary.

My prime 15

VZ's hangsen T5 7%
TPA's AP 1%
Sweetner 1%

Is as close as I've gotten and is my every day vape. It's a great vape but it's still missing something. It has that great nutty taste but theres that very subtle slight smokey/woody taste that I can't duplicate like a hint of a dark vape type tobacco but any dark vape or back woods tobacco I've tried was to over welming even deluted to .5%.

Oh and by the way I have a lawn service, My son does the pool and my feet are to ticklish to endore a foot rub. So I'll settle for an interesting reciepe in return or a hint as to what that missing ingredient is for prime 15:)

Edit: There was a new developement over in the halo thread

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...dom-smooth-torque-recipes-40.html#post9822431

Seems the missing ingredient may be 2.0% Trimethyl Pyrazine. Just ordered some from TPA.

Dee, my doctor had me on statins too. I had expressed some concern about the dangers. So, she put me on a very low dose, just 1/2 a pill a day. I don't remember what I had heard about statins, just that they were bad for some reason. It's amazing how well my loss of memory can keep up with everything I learn!

I went ahead and took them. But, when I ran out, she ignored the pharmacy's fax. So, no more. She did recommend red yeast rice. Have you heard of it?

Hawk (Or, should I call you Mr. Grumpy Pants?), I decided to give my old test strips a try. I just get an error message on my meter. So, no go.

I have a Reli-On meter from Walmart. I chose it because the test strips are super cheap. I think it's a Walmart generic. Anyway, I do need more strips.

But, what I'm wondering is if my meter is still good. It's at least 2 years old, maybe older. Does anyone know how often meters need to be replaced? I do remember hearing/reading some time ago that they can be ruined by being exposed to heat (like carrying them in your purse in 100 degree weather). And, they do have batteries that can wear out.

I guess I should get a new meter along with new strips.

I was looking on Google Images for Sarcasm smileys for Hawk. And, look what I found!

But, I did accomplish my mission too. Here, Hawk. Here's a Sarcasm smiley for you.

Did you try replacing the battery? After 2 years the battery is most likly low.

Now, I feel a little embarrassed that I posted it. I guess it is a bit vulgar. But, it made me laugh! And, I figured the pretty rainbow would balance out the not so pretty aspect.

Whoa, what a concept! I have no idea why I've tended to view it as one solid, mysterious unit. This magical little box can actually be opened up to replace the battery! Thanks for snapping me out of it before I wasted more money!

But, that IS all that go wrong with it then (assuming it hasn't been smashed or anything)?

Assuming it was'nt smashed or washed with the cloths a battery should be all it needs. And even if it don't work a battery is a small price to pay to find out if it works or not. Better then spending a fortune for a replacement meter.

I have heard of red yeast rice. Never took the time to check it out, tho. I'm using Metamucil, 2 doses a day and it's lower mine significantly. I'm happy with that.

I've been using the same meter for several years now. I think before I got a chance to answer, you got some good advice about the battery, how did that work out for ya?

My local pharmacy has a few different meters that are free (some you have to mail in rebate, some you don't) you could check your walmart if you wanted to. I think it's only the ones with expensive strips. That's the point of giving you the meter, to get you to buy the strips. I get my strips from amazon.;)

Quite true. Although part of me would like to have a new, prettier meter. But, I'll be good (since I can't afford not to be!).

Metamucil? I never would have thought that would help with cholesterol. And, it's good for you all around. I'll have to try that. Thanks.

Yup, I learned right away that the free meters were just a gimmick to sell expensive strips. Forget the free meters, and forget the really expensive ones. I'll stick with a cheap meter and cheap strips.

START SLOW!!!
1/4 dose a day for a week, then 1/2 a dose for a week...work your way up.
or you'll have a whole new problem

(My Doc suggested 3 doses a day for cholesterol control, but 2 seems to get me close to where I need to be)

Mine is called "embrace" I got it cause the strips are cheap. I think I paid $8 for the meter and the strips are like, $20 for a bottle of 50 at my pharmacy. Cheaper if I shop around.

Thanks for reminding me about the dangers of sudden increases in fiber. My doctor warned me about that when I first found out I was diabetic. But, I had totally forgotten. Whew! That would have been ugly!

I had searched back in the thread and found where you had mentioned the brand you had. I even had it in my Amazon shopping cart. But, when I saw how much shipping was going to be, I stopped and decided to just wait until I can get to Walmart to see what I can get.

I'm one of those people that it's hard to get out of the house. I go to work. But, before work all I can focus on is just making sure that I stay on time and don't forget anything. And, after work it's usually too late to do much. Pharmacies are closed.

I know it's pathetic. I always said that I'ld probably become an agoraphobic if I didn't absolutely have to work. Work keeps me used to getting out of the house so that it's not so hard to do it otherwise. And, I do almost always feel better when I do get out. It's just hard to get me there!

For me, it's people. Well, crowds of people. I'm perfectly fine all day outside riding my horse, just me & him, but put me in a grocery store and I have a panic attack.

I understand:)

Has anybody seen this? 1.36oz EZ-Sweetz® Stevia & Monk Fruit (1 unit)

I ordered a bottle. I'm gonna try it for sweetener. I like both nectreese (the monk fruit) and stevia in my tea, so I'm thinking it might be good in my liquid recipes.

Be warned, tho. There is a theory that citric acid (which is an ingredient in this) is contributing to tank cracking. I'll try it in a carto before I put it in a non-working clearo to set for a few days to see if it cracks, but I'm thinking 1 or 2 drops in a 10 ml bottle probably won't crack.

2 drops of straight lemon concentrate in 10ml didn't hurt my clearo, so I doubt a further diluted amount in the product you are talking about will hurt anything. I could be wrong.

I experimented with Nevelia (possible misspelling) sucralose a friend has. I mention this because the bottle looks the exact same as the one princessdee just linked. I'm thinking same maker but different brands. They had monk, stevia and sucralose when I saw it in the store. Works great but has 3 additional ingredients. Malic acid doesn't worry me. It also had 2 preservatives which didn't concern me for just a test but if I am going to use sucralose frequently I'll check into those.

Thanks to all who have shared tips. I couldn't have done this without you.

I found it when I saw a post on the deals and steals thread for a free sample of sucralose. I went clicking around the website. (I don't like sucralose)
They do have other types; this stuff, sucralose and saccharin.

It happened to come in the mail just after I posted yesterday and I had to try it. I put a drop in my 2.4ml clero of unflavored. It's good, I like it. Sweet (very sweet) and not getting an aftertaste like I do with sucralose. Close to 12 hours and no clouding of my clearo yet.

a drop in 5 ml (Approximately 1%) will probably be more on track for a flavored juice sweetener.

I have not done a fasting check then "after use" check cause I forgot my fasting this morning. But I will as soon as I can.

Hubby's birthday today so I have to get started on lasagna.
And he took Friday off to give himself a 4 day weekend. WoW and/or L2 marathon! (I hope, at least a couple days.) And a couple days barn time! I will be a happy bunny this weekend. :D

Made up a 30 ml bottle yesterday of the unflavored with the Stevia and monk fruit sweetener.

OK. Did my fasting. 104.
Vaped for 15 minutes my sweetened unflavored. (I know, not real accurate, but I couldn't wait any longer than that for my coffee.) 105.

So probably just the nic with that small an increase.

Just thought I'd check in and let you know how it went.

OK. I finally did it. I got my strips and checked my blood sugar. It was only 124 fasting.

Yeah, I know that's not what it's supposed to be. But, it's a whole lot better than I was afraid it might be!

When I first found out I was diabetic a few years ago, it took me several months of Metformin and improving my diet to get below 140 fasting. So, my current diet hasn't deteriorated as badly as I was afraid of after all.

Damn, I had forgotten how much it hurts!

Do you have a link for the sweeteners you're using? Do they seem to be clogging up atties? Or any other problems?

ETA: Oops, never mind. I see the link. Blame it on CRS!

We're all individuals, and each case is different, but my doc set my fasting "target" at 80-120, so yours is not too bad.
It DOES hurt! I've been told I'm "such a baby. It's just a little finger ....."
"Oh, yeah? You do it 3 times a day and tell me you're not sore.":p

(Don't do the finger you use to vape, if you use a manual)

I've been using the sweetened liquid in a T-2 since I made it. It is not clogged up yet. The sweetener is brown colored, but the tiny amount used didn't color the liquid. I still like it.

My doctor said to keep it under 105. But, she was stricter than any other doctor I've been to since. She didn't set a minimum because I only saw her during the first 9 months while I was just getting it under control. There was no danger yet of getting too low.

The diet she put me on was also the strictest I've ever heard of from any diabetic. But, like I said, she was mainly trying to jump start my recovery. I assume she would have made it less strict eventually. Unfortunately, I moved away about 9 months in.

I've never had a doctor since then that I trust as much about my diabetes. They mostly say things that show they don't really know what they're talking about. I really liked my original doctor because she seemed to really know what she was talking about. She also had the same type of diabetes that I had and had a lot of first-hand experience.

I will be forever grateful to her for setting me straight!

OK. That means my right thumb and pinky are to be protected at all costs!

Sounds very promising. Thank you for being the guinea pig!
