Just received my Aspire Odyssey Mini kit in the mail today. I have two (maybe three) problems with this set up. If you are suppose to top fill when the mark is at the "drip", but then I can't move it to the "vaping setting". Also, when you fill the tank from the middle hole I can't seem to see where the juice goes in. Shouldn't you be able to see the liquid in the atomizer like other tanks?
Another problem I have is when I put a fully charged battery in the unit still says "low battery". I haven't been able to vape on this unit at all.
Help.

I'm not sure what this kit is but I'm thinking the tank that comes with it is an Aspire Trition? If so, when you screw off the drip tip/top cap and you see the main center hole and the smaller holes around it, the smaller holes are the fill holes. If you fill the center hole, you have just flooded your tank and possibly got juice into your mod.

I just figured out what the problem was with the "low battery" showing with a freshly charged battery. My instructions don't tell me that after you insert the battery, you have to slide the little tab over the battery bottom. Some of these companies are inadequate with their instructions, besides being so small you need bi-focals AND magnifying glass to read the dam thing. I am still puzzled about filling the tank though. You are suppose to line it up with the "drop" and fill, then turn the wheel to vape. I can't seem to move it at all from the drop but I can vape anyway. So I suppose it isn't necessary. Any comments?

The instructions says put the juice into the hole. Yes, I filled the centre hole first and got juice all over. I re-filled it in the side holes and it works fine now. Tks

yes knowing which hole it goes into is quite important.

I'm not having these issues with the threading on the DT.

My issue I think is with the Juice. I think I may be using too thick a mixture. The juice discolors after only about two days of use. Within three days it starts to taste funky.

I used a freind's juice while on vacation and it was clear the entire week.

Suggestions?

Is the juice high VG? Or a NET? They both will gunk coils faster, especially the NET juices. The color getting darker is normal for a lot of juices. Lighter juices may take longer, but even clear juices will turn darker over time. The constant heating up the juice does that.

Gunking the coils is more of a heavier VG or NET style juice.

And be thankful you didn't get one with a faulty DT/top cap screw. I'm about to throw mine away be cuz it's a PITA trying to get this off and on!! Mine spends a "timeout" in the freezer constantly. My threads are screwed up on mine.

Hey Angi, I finally found a fix for the DT issue. If you remove the DT, turn it 'mouth side' down. Look into the hole, you'll see an o-ring in a small channel. There is also another empty channel further down closer to the drip tip. Using something blunt, like a toothpick, or perhaps tweezers, carefully remove that o-ring. Now turn the DT right side up, remove drip tip. Gently feed that o-ring down from the mouth side. Using that toothpick, work it into what was that empty channel. That's it. No drips, no issues, no threading problems.

Manycats - I don't believe your kit includes the Triton 2 tank. Perhaps the mini which is a different beast, and you'd get much better help either by searching for a Triton Mini thread, or starting a new thread with a descriptive subject heading.

With so many problems you should probably not order via mail-order. Stick to a local store where they can show you the in's and out's before you leave. I see there are 5 of them in Regina. Or, search on youtube for reviews where many will have videos showing them, and their opinion if they're good or bad. I feel for you in such a rural area.

OMG! Thank you for this tip! I try it as soon as I get home from work! :thumb:

I think I may have found a solution. I read somewhere about a little water, so I tried it. It thinned it out some which may help with the issue I asked about? (I'll see in a day or so)

I'm sorry to hear of you guys' difficulties with the Triton 2.

Last weekend I bought one and also the bigger tanked Nautilus ( up to now I've mainly run Nautilus Minis; loved them and have never had a problem with them but wanted bigger tanks.) The Nautilus leaked badly, due to an ill fitting top unit which did not create the necessary vacuum, but I took it back, the shop changed it and gave me the metal shrouded tank for free and it has been great since - but that is by the by.

I love the Triton 2 - yes to top fill you do have to use the right hole and no I haven't had the issue of being unable to get the bottom off. I also think the airflow is brilliant. I suspect if it is left at the fill setting rather than the vape setting it will leak and won't perform properly.

I wasn't struck with the sub ohm coils which didn't give me the flavour I wanted but am getting along just fine with the 1.8 ohm ones running at 13 watts on a K Box.

I didn't really like the supplied drip tip, but found it quite easy to remove by pulling it off with my fingers and have replaced it with the standard Nautilus style and to me it works brilliantly giving a lovely cool vape.

I'm not being a smart ... but I have always borne in mind what my friend Bob said to me when I first got a computer and did just about everything wrong - "Gerry - you are a nice guy but for f***'s sake RTFM!" and followed his advice with any new piece of kit, then if it doesn't work I can take it back and be able to demonstrate how and why it doesn't do what it should.

I do hope you all get solutions for to my mind the Triton 2 can be a great tank.

Been using my Triton v2 every day for, like, 4 months without any problems whatsoever. I started out with the 1.8 Ohm coils and now I'm using the 0.5 Ohm Atlantis coils, and they're great. I may try the 0.5 Ohm Claptons, too, haven't decided yet, but maybe.

Manycats, I think we need more information, or even pics, to see what problem you are having. The glass part is sealed between two silicone gaskets at the top and bottom. After you remove the base with the coil, there is another ring that you must unscrew to release the glass part. It may be easier to grip the lower ring with a wet paper towel or rubber gloves to unscrew it. When my tank was new, and the edges were super sharp, I got a pretty deep cut on thumb unscrewing the ring.
