Me too.
As far as the protection device goes it sounds like the only difference is that one will buzz and the other wont.

I remember one time when I left my batteries charging and forgot to take them out when I left home to work. By the time I noticed, I started getting paranoid hearing the stories of batteries exploding due to overcharge.
So the one thing that has been wandering in my mind is if we're able to leave the protection device on while it charges and if that will prevent an exploding battery.
About the Fuse-
Now called the Vape Safe and The Vape Sonic (buzzing version)
The Vape safe if just a 7 amp fast blow fuse, It's simple and extremely effective.
The Vape Sonic (audible buzzing version) buzzes. This is the only notable difference between the two.
We thought that a version that would somehow give an indication of the hard short would be good for novices.
It is not resettable. Those circuits take far too long to trip- 10-20 seconds (which is plenty of time for thermal snowballing)
They are also not nearly as reliable as a simple fuse.
Since this device is about safety, we thought it wise to use the simplest and most reliable method.
The Vape Sonic's Price difference is due to there being several more parts on the PCB (not just 1 simple fuse).
parts cost $ and termination of those parts costs $.
Hey Matt.
I know you guys are coming out with a V2 shankless pipe in the near future. Does that mean you have sold all the original pipes with shanks? Will these no longer be available?
Thanks.
Hey Matt, have you thought about finding a way to get a kick in one of your pipes? It would take a lot a work, but a kicked pipe would be quite awesome haha.
Just a quick survey question for the folks out there...
Which is more important when it comes to a mod,
Power capacity or the size of the mod?
We are looking into some new designs and technology.
The problem is the same as usual. If the mod is a comfortable small pocketable size, the battery life is too short.
If the battery life is 1+ days or more the mod becomes bulky and awkward to hold or carry.
Finding a balance between the two is tricky. Ultimately 1 aspect will be sacrificed to the other, even if it's close.
So which is more important- Compact size or 1 day+ battery life?
This is for R&D on a new VV mod we are developing.
