I just want to give Matt and all the folks at EPM a big thanks for getting my pipe fixed so fast. I sent it in to get a new Vapesafe and they went above and beyand and polished it up like a brand new unit.

BTW, Matt I am converting an old tobacco pipe and just ordered a Vapesafe and button. Do you have any wiring diagrams that would help me get it done right the first time. Thanks

unfortunately i do not have any wiring diagrams. The best I can do is just try and explain it.
The outside of the connector is - the center pin is +. The Key ring is - and the VapeSafe is +. the VapeSafe has 2 solder ports. Use the port that is clearly connected to the back side (the side with no magnet). The other port goes to the magnet side of the VS. If you use the wrong port the pipe will work but you will have bypassed the VS protection circuit.

So I actually got a nice little vape mail appetizer today compliments of dirq. Despite being AL west division rivals (him near Seattle and the Mariners, me in Orange County, CA with my beloved Angels) we maintain cordial relations. A little sampler of some Shire Malt and also some Grandpa's Cough Medicine. Man, on first whiff I see how the GCM got it's name! Whew. Uncanny! I was somewhat put off by the smell, yet at same time couldn't wait to taste. Weird irony! We shall see.

This lead me to another discovery after all this time and not asking. Dripping and a drip shield. We are talking simply using a carto (no tank) with the shield to protect the PV from drippage. Easy and I am so dumb. Certainly worth a $2 carto to sample juices. Looks like a drip shield from Empire is an essential component to any epipe smokers bag of tricks.

Drip shields can be used with carto's. but they are more intended for use with atomizers.

Drip shields are purely ornamental on a 510 atty or carto. They are made for 901 atty which have the airhole on the side of the tube. If you overdrip a 510 it is going to leak out the air hole on the connector. Of course you can use a sealed 510 to 510 sealed adapter and a drip shield and live with all the extra connections and voltage drop but I wouldn't. It just isn't that hard to learn to drip.

Exceptional choices. You will quickly see that Dragons rule! But darn if that Dwarven pipe doesn't look like it was hewn from a precious rock plucked from the side of Mt. Doom

Looking at the close-ups the red and gold veining looks like runes to me on the Dwarf...

actually the dripshield works quit well with a 510 atomizer and no adapter on the pipes. This is because of the eGo connector which sits prouder than a standard 510. if you push the dripshield down all the way to the eGo threads it will prevent leaks and perform as if there were a 901 underneath. the air hole end up in about the same place.
ego+ 510 + dripshield = standard 510/901 connector+ 901+ dripshield.
i thinks this is displayed in our setups vid.

Ditto...except I am not sure if it is "gold" or if it is more green.

This bad boy clearly was mined in the Ered Luin, or Blue Mountains, by the people of Azaghâl, only named King of Broadbeams at Belegost and Elf-Friend. In the First Age Azaghâl befriended Noldorin Prince Maedhros after the latter rescued him from an orc ambush. Yes THAT Maedrhros, he who had seen the light of the Lamps upon the faces of the Valar in Elvenhome, and crossed the ice into exile with his brother as they followed their father Feanor to hunt the Silmarils. Towards the end of the Nírnaeth Arnoediad, Azaghâl was killed in combat with Glaurung, the Father of Dragons, but his attack wounded it so badly that Azaghâl's debt to Maedhros was repaid: the remaining Noldor were able to escape from certain destruction when the wounded Glaurung fled the field along with all his brood.
