Glad it made it to you before your trip bro. I got your address from the return address on that Jazz tank. The BOSS always knows more than she lets on.

I stayed up to watch my Fullerton Titans (walking distance from Bj's Yellow Pleasure Pad) take out ASU and damned if Jerome couldn't sleep. He has never been on a roadie...and shoot, I haven't been on a good one since shacking up the boss 5 years ago. So screw it. I am hitting the road. Things get hairy I'll pull over and sleep, but I ready to roll straight through the central CA valley desolation an over the Golden Gate by dawn.

What's that, Jerome is not in his traditional gold capped custom Gandalf phinny and 8" CW. Special day, special measures. The first tobacco pipe stem I ever bought back in 1992 as the sole Deadhead pipe hippie I knew, along with the very first vape tank I ever bought...to sample the first of the SHOOG gifted Boba's...

Truckin...

I have a bad cold so the flavor has to break through more than the Thai grub did tonight...and it did. Excellent TH, massive outs of vapeage. My first impression is that I get why people love this and I found myself already fretting over supply. Is it the quality of, say, the W2V signature series...well what is? The tobacco is above average and the "secret ingredient" (cola?) is excellent but not overwhelming. It is a keeper, not and NET so not an ADV for me, but may well be my all day backup alongside the OBC. Certainly going well with my first coffee of the all nighter that is or sure.image.jpg

Bottom line, I GET it.

Propelled by a stiff carafe of coffee, some Boba, and live bootleg Allman Brothers (is there any better road music) I sling shot through the OC, blow past la la land, and am out on the open road. Jerome, an amateur. Dude begged me to leave early then he passes out 90 minutes in. Not the best road dog. Rolls off the seat and passes out on the floor. Poor little guy. He'll need his rest to greet the dawn, so Bonzo the Obelisk Dragon loaded with a stiff shot of W2V Louisville is on patrol

Come on Jerome, step your game up.

Time to pop in some 1989 Dead and chase the sun towards the Golden Gate

I've had my Dwarve for a couple weeks now, and all my other mods are now gathering dust. I am loving the feel of the epipe in my hands, just feels so natural.

Have a couple of questions: Sometimes when I depress the button, somehow the epipe doesn't fire. Usually upon release and pressing again it works fine, and this is not a deal breaker by any means. Would any of the veterans here know what might be wrong? I've cleaned all the contact points already and the batteries are usually freshly charged.

The next question is that I see a lot of the vets here use advanced rebuildable atties. I am very very happy with my Protanks right now. Will moving to these RBAs really be a significant step-up?

I've dropped quite a bit of coin on mods and all that and I really think I can be happy with my epipe (plus the next one already on the way to me) and my Protanks and not have to bother with anything else. Then I look at all your awesome setups..

Cool, Brian can show it to ya. Have not seen Smakly myself. May have to go have a peek, love pipe pics :D

I dont know how you feel about Gepetto but his carvings are amazing to me. He isnt really a pipe maker but he does make them in pipe form pretty regularly. Its too bad Im just not into his style so much with all the skulls and kinda dark themes. The pipes are usually a little too unusual for my taste also but there is no denying his brilliant carving skill, at least from someone that knows nothing about what goes into making these things.

Hey Dirq, this guy seems right up my alley. I love the skull/dark theme type stuff. (I have the skull and crossed spud wrenches that are in my avatar tattooed on the back of my neck, lol) Gotta link to Gepetto's stuff? I'd love to browse any pics he might have.

I have found that certain pipes will have the occasional misfire (couple times a day). not sure why this happens but sometimes I gotta press again for it to vape. I would say that is fairly normal. If your pipe is misfiring every other press, or even near that amount, there is probably something wrong and it is fixable.

as far as the Protank vs. RBA's we just got some protanks in and my employee's have been quite impressed with them. My thought is, If you have found something that works well for you, stick with it. Only venture into RBA's and such if your curiosity drives you to.

Wow. Some pretty outrageous stuff. (I don't have a Facebook account, but did a google image search off GepettoBoxMod) Saw a few items I would definitely love to have in my collection. Don't think I will though. Although the styles are off the charts cool (YMMV) I really like Matt's design better. And I'm not just saying that because I'm in his thread. Gepetto uses a door and I really like Matt's "drop in" style. Looking down in the bowl reveals some serious engineering R&D. It's just so much more...elegant. Maybe that elegance limits what Matt can do with the wood. Though having seen most of his work, I doubt that is the case. Probably just a difference in style. Also seems like Gepetto starts out making something that ends up looking like a pipe, rather than starting out to make a pipe.

No denying that the dude has serious talent. But I think I'll wait for Matt to make something dark, lol.

Thanks for the link!

So after 5 hours in the saddle and no sleep I had to pull off the road. Next thing I know Jerome is tugging my cape and it is 90 min later. Luckily I passed out in front I the first Starbucks in 4 hours of dirt and cows. But this ain't so cal. Some if the bovine were staffing the Starbucks and it took me 20 min to get Jerome a latte. I told h has station coffee , black, is the only true man road fare, but how cod k say no to that face?

So now I am 40 min south of the Bay and behind schedule.

Coffee, sausage, goodejuice Perique, and Sunday morning all call for church like musics. Dylan - Basement Tapes Vol 2

EDIT: It looks like he has a website now and is posting them in batches at a designated day and time...

I hope vaping on brass directly like that is safe. Im know Matt is big into safety so I feel confident but Im also gonna do some research on the subject. Not sure there is much out there though that is truly factual. Anyone have any expertise with brass and some thoughts? I plan to not let it sit very long with juice in it. Im surprised it isnt sealed with something though. Was kinda hoping the inside would be SS or something on the inside deck.
