We need a bhami angry duck pipe made! Is that not as cool as the Kracken!

Hey he is not angry......he just had a hard life....haha

It's funny you say that. I got a SLAP last week and my son made the comment that it looked like a duck.

I didn't even notice it before, but now every time I look at that pipe all I see is a duck.

So yes..... some times the pipe picks the owner. Some times by no choice of our own. 8-o

But Sasquatch was my nickname when I was traveling around the country living in my van and going to Rainbow gatherings. Ahhhhh, those were the days.

You may know James then, he is an old truckin hippie, actually on his way to the gathering in Montana this summer.

All the cut cones on EPM sell out relatively fast. I am sorry to say that I don't have or know of any brass Ego cones. The cheap gold plated looking stuff is all I've been able to find.

Ok, I totally get what you meant now. There has to be a little market out there. We need to find someone who will do it.

Ha, thats awesome. I had a stint living in a van that was endearingly referred to as "The Hope Mobile" because we could only hope that it would start. It was quite the hangout camping 24/7. We had a place here called Rainbow Valley that I had quite a lot of good times at lol.

EDIT: What were the Rainbow gatherings like? Im not sure I couldnt manage to tell some awesome stories about Rainbow Valley and still stay within the rules lol. The one crazy thing I can say is it was full on camping out in a giant field with tents everywhere and a firework show that would go on all night. Like everywhere. You left with burn holes in your tent after every trip. It was crazy but cool. You just dont sleep at night lol.

I wish I could go with him. I got a ton of crazy stories about those days. Feels like it was a lifetime ago though. Back then if you would have told me I would be married with four kids and a business I would have said you were crazy. The national gathering should be starting up soon because I do remember it was always during the 4th. I can just see myself walking around with Hawkeye at the gathering, I'm sure it would get a lot of attention.

Like most here, I am a huge LOTR fan. But that's not the only realm I indulge in. My other favourites includes the Forgotten Realms and The Wheel Of Time sagas.

My all-time favourite characters are Matrim Cauthon and Jarlaxle; I guess somewhere inside me I fancy myself a rogue of sorts. On MMORPGs (and MUDs, if anyone here even know what that is) I always start my main character as a thief/rogue.

Despite my earlier claim of not being in the run for anything this week, a particular item caught my eye. I know Gandalfs are more wizardry and illusions, but there is something different about this.

Like a glint of gold peeking from beneath rubble, catching the light; it calls for me. There is something about this one, the shape, the wood, that tells me that it was meant to be. I present the latest prize, I shall name it the Raven Prince.

With the addition of the latest member, my collection is complete (for now). The Dwarven warrior, stout and hardy, ever dependent, facing the hordes. Granny Smith reborn in a blaze of acid and fire, the medium through which fury flows. The Raven Prince, dexterous and agile, skulks in the shadows gently and strikes from the darkness surely.

We get a lot of rainbow family up here in the summer. If you trekked in the last 10 years you probably camped close to my back yard at one point :)

EDIT: Sasquatch the cat was probably even still here then ;)

It's been close to 20 years since I was a dirty smelly Sasquatch. I spent some time in CO when I was though. Stayed with my sister in Boulder for a while, I remember getting in a ice cold mountain steam naked with a hippie chick, didn't do much for my ego.

Oh right the "recess"... The ego connector is recessed nearly flush with the end of the shank.
I have been doing this lately to allow a flush look with tanks (no need for cones). But you are still capable of putting "skirted" ego carts on the pipe.
Edit: many of the newer freehands also have adjustable center pins now too. Treebeard has this feature.

Mythical creature freehands are on! Cthulhu may be the name for the one currently on the drying rack :)

You guys are bringing back some childhood memories with talk of Louisiana and Colorado.
I was born in Louisiana, I think even though my parents weren't native and we didn't live there long, I have some Cajun blood in my veins.
I grew up mostly in Colorado, gorgeous country, and moved to Cape Cod, Massachusetts for high school.

I like that, we name a freehand and you create it in your vision. Its almost like back in the day of custom pipes for people, only this time everyone has a chance to bid on it. You name them now and everything but that would be fun waiting for Sasquatch and the Kraken get created. Even cooler if you start making the pipe after we name it and we all know its coming down the pipe.

Off to google to search Cthulhu.

EDIT: Cthulhu search over. So your gonna make one of these?
