Picking up a Gandalf here in the next few weeks and want a stem with some length. Is the Churchwarden going to be my only option? If it is that is fine, just wondering if there is anything else out there. I can't seem to find anything.

Any stem on EPM site will work with that universal adaptor. That said, for the Gandalf I HIGHLY recommend the 8" Churchwarden. There is nothing like it. Otherwise the other Churchwardens on the site will be great at around 5"

Well well, looks like someone has been watching that may be able to fill our connector needs!
Thorn- a 510 threaded connection is a must, nothing proprietary, but there are certain needs for pipe making that the current market doesn't provide. I'd go into more detail but after 4 beers, getting into technical stuff would probably turn into giber gaber. The goal would simply be a better 510 connector for pipes, not only for you guys, but for us to build of off as well.
BJ- Wish I could help you on the Protank front. Personally the only tank I can stand to use is the Kayfun. A lot of people swear by the Protank and have great success with them, but not me.
Bard lusters- There will be more pipes in this vein. I am almost through 2 racks (42(the meaning of life)) of solid gandalfs. Once I finish turning all of those I'll get back on the free hands

Yea I was looking at the Walker Briar stems and liked them. Wanted to get everything ready for the day I go pick it up. Already grabbed the Penelope V2 for it now just need the stem so I can hurry up and wait for Matt to finish up. He will be glad I quit trying to steal his when he isn't looking though.

like like like like like! That is awesome matt. I will say one thing if you want to take my opinion in account... I had a kayfun for about a week. It was awesome, but as soon as I got my spheroid and used it i gave the kayfun to my buddy. I will get another at some point but think of the spheroid as a dragon tamer with a tank. Its frakking brilliant how good it is. ZERO leaks... full flavor until the last drop. Top notch machining and looks great on a pipe!
Sounds great! Will they be available for sale by themselves for DIY'ers? Woot!
