That cigar style is so sexy! What do you have attached? Looks like a genesis of some sort...
Speaking of gennies! I have a DID that I have been loving on my epipes. Here's the question, is it possible to short the fuse on the V2 with a poorly wrapped coil? I'm pretty sure I didn't over tighten the DID so that's out of the equation, but 2 epipes have stopped working while testing the same coil. I'm guessing the fuses blew. So being proactive, I have ordered a set of fuses. And a new V2.5 epipe. Damn you Matt, Brian and Katie. Damn you.

It is a GG Odysseus in Drip mode. It uses silica wick with resistance and no resistance wire.

Ya, that is a problem with gennies and the V2 or any unprotected mod unless you are really good with wrapping those coils. I get shorts after building them all the time and fiddle with it until I get it right. So I use my Provari to check if it is working right and then I transfer to my pipe once I got it working right.

Couple questions for the experts...

I'm fond of the AW batteries, are 18490's fine for the big battery pipes?

Also, I'm toying with the idea of getting a Dremel for some projects. Was wondering if polishing these pipes is possible with said Dremel, and the right attachment?

thanks in advance.

AW18490's will work with the pipes :)
and buffing wheels for a dremel will work as well. Just go with low speed and don't use felt drums because they can burn the wood.
Prestidigitonium would shine up nice that way

I'm running a mini DID genesis style atty on my pipes without any problems with both the flat and rounded buttons.

Be careful that you didn't blow the fuse if you have the V2 pipes.

Try using the pipes with a simple carto or atty and if those don't work, then it might be that you did blow the fuse.

Package in the mail, my new rhodesian pipe! I always wanted a rhodesian in a reddish colored wood, and I got it. Even more so, this one has an iridescent quality to it that I wasn't expecting. The light almost sparkles off the wood.

This pic is to show off what I'm talking about, not so much of a beauty shot.

Just got a Hellfire yesterday from a buddy at cost. Lucky for me he isnt a big fan of Gennies. This one has been the best so far when it comes to me setting it up and making it work really good. Not sure what pipe it will find its forever home on yet though. I did have it on another and posted in the pic thread but now Im vaping my cigar!

Certain woods have excellent translucence, it almost creates a holographic depth effect.
It's super cool :)

must get hellfire!

In regards to the recent requests for more cigars-

I picked up 30 new blocks of briar today. I asked for 10 mini's so I can do more cigars.
The deal with the cigars is that certain blocks of briar are not quite big enough for pipes, so in that case I make a cigar.
However this has been rare, even with mini's. It makes more sense to me to make a pipe if I can.
Never the less there will be more cigars, but they will be occasional (not a regular mod in rotation).

If there is enough demand, and if I can find the proper lumber, I might make them more regularly. I might go with Mallee or coolibah, I just can't bear to waist good briar on something other than a pipe.

I received my V2.5 Steampipe today and have to hand it to the Epipemods crew. The fit and finish on the pipe is just fantastic. The feel in your hand is much silkier than past iterations. I don't know if they are using a different final polish or what but it's glossy and delicious. The brand mark also looks fantastic. It's a clear reminder of the maker's pride in his craft. And it goes without saying that the vapor production is fantastic. Warm and potent puffing on some EPM Kentucky Bluegrass. This is why I keep coming back. Bravo! 290377_10100834493520358_1617098442_o.jpg

I haven't had the pipe accidentally fire with the mini DID and battery in place. When I'm not vaping it during the day, it sits on a stand on my desk in the "on" position with the rounded switch. While walking about, the rounded button is in the "off" position in my shirt pocket.

The "on" and "off" position only work with the round switch.
