Matt,

I know this is a big picture week for you as you have the audit tomorrow...so asking gently here. Should we expect preview pictures today or tomorrow? Only asking because I am trying to save my vape funds for YOU this month and hoping to hold on to them until Friday! I would always rather spend with EPM than anyone else.

Thanks!!!

Is it anything like a Penelope? I haven't done much research. It doesn't use the nr wire right?

In terms of time, it takes about the same amount of time to set them up. It doesn't use NR wire, but the learning curve is quite steep. It took me 5-6 unsuccessful setups to get it right. After that, heaven. On the upside, it uses about 30% less than Penelope since it doesn't leak. The downside is that you do need a screwdriver to set it up. A keychain-size one would do

Setup sounds fine. So it doesn't leak at all? That's my big concern

There is a but. It doesn't leak, but you have to fill it through the fill hole, and for that you need a plastic needle tip that fits. If you fill it by unscrewing the top cap, it won't leak as in spilling over your mod and hands, but will leak into the air hole, obstructing the airflow. That will also happen if your draw is too hard. If you draw harder you need to open up the airflow with the valve. The amount of juice that gets on the coil depends on how hard and long you draw. It is advised to take longer, easier draws. But if you really do prefer a hard draw, you just lower the pressure on the liquid by adjusting the valve accordingly. It sounds too abstract. It's much more intuitive when you see it. There are guides with pics on the web somewhere

Since there is a slight lull post- Vape Mail and pre release...as good of a time as any to talk juice. Specifically PIPE SAUCE.

Ok, I have been a LOTR nut for over 20 years. As I said before read the trilogy, Hobbit, and Silmarillion once a year. So that and looking for a pipe lead me here...and glory be. So as almost exclusively a tobacco juice vapor and LOTR fiend I had high hopes for the Long Bottom Leaf. Not only have I not been disappointed, but it has exceeded my wildest dreams. DELICIOUSLY GLORIOUS. I can't get enough of it. It forced me to knock my "proof" down to 18 mg because I am almost chain vaping the stuff. I heard someone once refer to the sweetness as "Capt Crunch berries"...I am not sure. I know that I KNOW that taste...I know it...but I just can't put my finger on it. Damn you are your wonderful genius Matthew! Anyways, at first vape I feared it might be too sweet for me, but no. Extremely well balanced with the tobacco undertones. Exquisite. I have 2 all day vapes and this one is #1. It is also the first juice of dozens that I have tried that I can truly say is a "relaxing" vape. So I am strongly considering leaving it only in my home pipe to look forward to all day and then bust out after all the kids are in bed and the madness has driven me to the brink...that is, if I can go all day without it.

Now, I am not a fruit guy at all, so take this with a grain of salt. So many awesome reviews on the OBC and so many people use it as their ADV so I had to try it. I used to work in a Lebanese restaurant and Hookah lounge and the TRUE middle easterners would only use apple and frowned upon everyone else. So I get why people ADV this for sure after trying it. It is...wonderful...but not for me. Rich, best apple I have had, evenly and carefully spiced, it really is a superbly crafted juice and I appreciate it and would even recommend it and highly. Just not for me. I will say that of all the fruits people have forced me to try, this is by far the best for a vaper that uses primarily full bodied tobacco flavors. Really well done. I should add that I just tried some more after letting it steep for a while and it is...better. The sharp apple has mellowed a bit and spices balanced out. I might be forced to let it sit for say 1-2 weeks and try again before abandoning it...and forever all other fruits, as this is the first I ever remotely enjoyed. To be continued...

I have yet to try Shire Malt. Who can describe it for me overall and in comparison to the most excellent LBL?

My buddy says Shire and LBL are totally different. I say they are nearly the same. To me its almost like he took LBL and mellowed it out further and malted it. Id be glad to send you some Shire. PM me your addy and it will be on the way this week. You should have just bought the sampler though, you may like Grandpa's. I dont really have any of that left to send you. I actually do have some but it is very old at this point. I should have tossed it already I think. It must be 6-8 months now.

I just tried the OBC...I am impressed. Not only is it the first apple juice I have liked, but it is the best new juice I have tasted in a long time and I got a bunch of new juice samples at Bash...the OBC outshines them all.

Like I said, take my review with a grain of salt. For me to take more than one puff of any fruit is simply unheard of...and that counts handmade small timers with fresh fruit extract from their own gardens. It has to be exceptional for me to be vaping it...as I am right this minute. Not for me, but I totally get why this is an ADV for so many people.

As for Shire Malt...thanks Dirq! Can anyone explain what "malt" tobacco tastes like? I mean, I like a good chocolate malt, but no idea what we are talking about here.

I am not sure I can enjoy the absinthe element in a juice, so not sure on Grandpa's. Anyone have anything to add on that sauce?

No they cant. Please send me an address to send some Shire on your way. Chances are if you like LBL you might like Shire. My buddy says its a coffee vape. I dont get that. Taste is truly subjective. I dont care what anyone says. The descriptions Ive heard vary all over the board.

Hey, did you get a 30 mil bottle of the OBC. If you did, Ill trade you a full bottle of Shire for whats left of your OBC.

PM to follow.

Man, I cannot believe I am still amazed DAILY by the wonderfulness of the vaping community. I have been a member of some other all-time communities (off topic, maybe to be discussed later) but no one is more patient, cool, helpful, and understanding then this one.

I would LOVE to trade...but unfortunately (fortunately?) already have dealt to another brother. I am getting some of the infamous, elusive, and temporarily unavailable Boba's back in return. I have never tried and have heard mixed reviews, but given it's almost cult-like following alone I figure I should try it.

I was a bobas guy once upon a time. Loved it for most of a month. Ive since given away the remainder of my bobas. All I think of is a smokey graham cracker when I vape it.

I met a guy at a local vape store with a 24mg LBL that he had let sit on the shelf for about 4-5 months. I wanted it but 24mg is way over my limit (back surgery meant an instant cut in my nicotine intake, doctor worries about bone growth). However I smelled it and it smelled SOOOOOO good.

I've put my 30ml 6mg aside for a couple of months to see if mine steeps like his does. I opened it once or twice. I'm betting it slightly oxidizes.

Beyond that, agreed, Shire Malt and LBL have a similar flavor. Like comparing a vanilla shake to a vanilla malt. I think I overall like the malt better (and probably why I liked that steeped LBL so much).

Juicy, have you tried the non-LOTR fruit sauces? I've started making Kentucky Bluegrass my go-to dripper and I often mix the Bluegrass (blueberry), peach and equal portion of LBL or Malt with them. Sometimes I mix the 2 fruits with a different tobacco flavored one I have just for a little change-up. I posted about this mix a bit before you hit the forum regularly. The thing I like about the 3-way mix is the tobacco mellows the others, and the other two have different temp profiles so you taste both separately on a high temp hit during the same vape. A very complex flavor. Add a tiny bit of clove and -wham-.

The main reason I don't like a lot of flavors is lack of complexity. Especially with the fruits. Mixing lets you tailor something that has a mix of flavors almost like an iridescent color effect only via taste instead of colors.

Then again, I'm that guy that sees a wine (or, in days past, a cigar) that said something like "spices with a touch of tobacco flavor and a slight leather finish" and went "YUM!".

I'm pondering making some recipes that mimic wine and cigar descriptions to really give something complex, but, my tastes seem to be alot different than most :)

(2 parts Oak Barrel + 1 part Malt + a couple drops of peach + 1 drop of clove is pretty nice, too)

Coffee? He said coffee and not toffee? I could see toffee ... maybe he equates the two.

(I just tied a carmel machiatto flavor from Wild Valley, free sample, and I LOVED the smell ... made me want a coffee so bad ... but hated the vape)

But yeah, everyone's taste buds are soooo different. Not just for ex-smokers who have perhaps dulled their nose for a bit but also because the high temps release so many more flavors, but delicate ones.

The process the extractor uses to get their essential oils also has a huge effect on it. Give the same batch of ingredients to 2 different distillers and you'll get similar smells from the oils but they can have dramatically different levels of esters and flavors in them.

Love it gwbard!

Hey everyone, Im an idiot and accidentally ordered 14500 batteries instead of 18500 batteries. So that means I need a 14500 mod... that is what it means right? Well ya, it does. So what is out there in 14500? Never had one with that battery size before and dont even know where to look to find one.
